Online trainers/armchair trainers bug me so much, especially when they do harmful things with their big followings

As someone who doesn't get to be around horses much I always look for some context in the comments for horsey people to explain a video that was put in a bad light. I also get to learn more about things that way aswell.

I've seen that and don't agree with it at all. Hate the bloody internet trainers. Wasn't there one going about a couple months ago talking about her 36 Olympic horses ro something like that?

It also doesn't help that, with the small snippets where a horse could've bucked or reared due to an unknown reason or god forbid a teenage is riding a pony that any equestrian familiar with size and weight for a horse would recognize, some "online trainer" somewhere feels the need to bash the rider because the horse is" in pain" or "is green and needs more handling before being ridden under saddle." It sickens me going through comments on videos. Especially when non-equestrians pop in...

Ari exactly, same goes with dog breeders too most ethical people breed to maintain good form and health but all you hear about is puppy mills and puts breeders as a whole in a bad light to a lot of people.

Even well respected and seasoned horsemen once in a while should go back to the basics and establish more bonding and humble themselves. Everyone can do with a bit of humbling once in a while. We often lose sight of the small things as humans

I agree Quality, and oftentimes because of phone cameras etc people film the bad apples and try to paint everyone in the same light when in reality it's a few shitty trainers in a big field of really good horse people
QualitySH
12:11:41
I feel like there is nothing wrong with the horse industry as a whole. Some bad apples ruin the reputation but is often a very small percentage of the horse loving community.

In the end, its what's best for the horses not the people riding them. Horses didnf choose to be riden but they tolerate it

With that all said, there's no use trying to sway someone's opinion, especially without proven research and valid examples. The rules of horse racing are updated when problems arise and they are strictly enforced.

I think there are many people in the horse world who've lost touch with the animals and human bonds.....a lot of people need to go back to the basics

Well I can assure you that I have not witnessed the kinds of things you are talking about amongst my competitors and peers, so I'm glad that the things you've seen and talked about are not universal and mostly localised problems

"Well the pool downstairs is open. Or should be. I can try out my new two piece I got!" She pulled away "yes! That one!" She got out of the bed, grabbing her bathing suit before running into the bathroom and changing. She pulled a long shirt overtop of it for the trip downstairs into the indoor pool. "Ready?" She asked as she emerged again. "Let's go!"

Ryker nodded, blinking as she darted away. He hauled himself up quickly and pulled on trunks faster than she could come out, and a t-shirt because that was him. For the walk down at least. "Always ready." He answered, opening the door.

Abby quietly skipped down the hall to the elevator, pressing the button and waiting. She stepped into the nice silver box, pressing the lobby button "oh I love buttons" she turned to Ryker and poked his shoulder "sorry" she turned back toward the doors with a child like smile on her face. she led Ryker to the polls before staring at them. There were two nice sized pools, one smaller one and three hot tubs. Surprisingly, the entire place was empty. "Looks like we have the whole place to outselves" Abby smirked then walked in, hesitating before taking her shirt off.

(Good. I'm sleep deprived, don't worry about what I say at this Point :D)

Ryker walked, slower like usual, down the hall and into the elevator. He snorted with an amused look at her comment, then went to the pools at the usual *I am the tortoise that didn't win against the jackrabbit* pace. When they went inside he looked around at the wide open empty place. "Looks like it." He repeated with a small smile, mentally having an entire war before pulling his own shirt off.

Abby was pretty subconscious about her appearance even though it was only her and Ryker. She gave the strings a slight tug before making sure they were tight enough. The pale blue color of the fabric brought out the blue in her eyes, the light green leaves on it brought out the green, and the yellow polka dots brought out the yellow flecks. She had specifically picked it because it matched her eyes. She finally decided she wanted to swim, so she jumped in and swam to the middle of one of the big pools. "It feels so good!" She said

If Abby thought she was subconscious about her appearance, she should've stopped in Ryker's head for a second. Subconscious, actually conscious, not even conscious, and everything in between. Every single part of his brain was worried about whether someone would come in and how they would react to the friggin fileted back or if they would even worse ask QUESTIONS or if they would- he stopped himself and shoved his entire brain on the backburner to Smolder a little, wading into the water. "It is nice."

Abby did a back stroke before wuickly finding out she couldn't do that. She shot back to the surface and wiped the water from her face. She swam over to Ryker then passed him so she could stand in the shallower side. It was 5 feet deep, so she had six inches to spare. "I know one thing you don't do very often. " she started with a smile. "Guess "

Ryker pretty much just took a deep breath and sank to the bottom. He had extremely dense bones compared to most people, and that paired with his muscle weight meant he sank really easily. He resisted a yawn, cause that would SUCK, and only resurfaced when Abby came over. "Knowing you, I can't guess."

"You have only carried me like a princess two to four times. " she was drifting out into space... or atleast her mind was. She flopped backwards and swam small circles. "I love the pool" she said. She readjusted her top. "I need a favor. Can you tie the back of my swimsuit? It's too loose and I can't get it myself" she backed up to him.

"For one, you may be a princess in my mind but technically you aren't one." He teased. "For two, you officially won the prize for the most random sentence ever. For three, me too, but it prefer lakes- no chlorine all animals- and for FOUR, yes, yes I can." He answered with a slight smile, deftly readjusting and tying the straps.
