Camery Valatieri - Cam looked up at him for a moment, and just nodded quietly. She didn't understand how he could be so calm about it. It broke her. They'd broken him. They'd hurt him more than she could ever imagined. She'd never seeen her father like that. She didn't understand how he could do this to a man she loved so unconditionally. "When will you be better?" She asked quietly. She followed his gaze back to her hand, and she quickly tucked her fingers into a fist. She felt awful. She'd lost the ring. She'd only just gotten it. She tucked her face away, suddenly so ashamed that she hadn't tried harder too protect it. To protect him. She should have tried harder. It wasn't long until tears started to roll down her face again, although her tears were silent. She hated herself for this. She should have known better than to take him over there.

Camery Valatieri - She nodded when he said it shouldn't take too long. Good... he'd be mostly better by next week then. She hoped so, anyway. When he cupped her face though, she just started crying harder. She held his hands on each side of her face, her shoudlers shaking as she tried not to let it get any worse. "Malakai, I tried," she whispered, looking down as she tried to choke back a sob. "I tried so hard, he wouldn't listen," she cried quiely, burying her face into his side again.

Camery Valatieri - Camery just nodded, but as of then she didn't feel any better. She didnt understand how he'd want to be involved with her at all after all that. It was terrifying. She looked up at him with furrowed brows, and leaned her cheek into his thumb gently, the movment calming even if it didn't settle her. She still felt awful, but she supposed she would for a while. She felt like she needed to comfort him somehow, but she didn't know what to say or do. "Okay," she said quietly. She hoped they'd made it that far. She hoped with everything in her that they'd make it until they were old and grey. She curled into him tighter, her hand stretching around his side as she tried to calm herself down, holding him as tight as she could until she started to drift off to sleep. She was exhausted. She'd been so worried, so upset about... well, everything, she supposed. But, he was right. They were safe now. - (Awww I love him)

Camery Valatieri - Cam nodded softly, although by then she was already half asleep. It didn't take long for her to drift off, not after everything that had happened. She just hoped Kai would make a full recovery. She woke up very late the next morning, her face still buried into his side tiredly. She looked up after a moment, and Kai did look better... less swollen. She supposed that happened when you healed as quick as he did.

Camery Valatieri - Camery stayed next to him, not really wanting to leave his side. She hated that this had happened to him, and if she could take away any of the pain, she would. They'd completely ruined his wings... god, she could only imagine how painful it was. She'd heard his screeches. It broke her the more she thought about it, and sort of sat up when the nurses walked in to do their morning rounds. They suggested that she went to get showered while they changed his bandages, which she agreed to. She was still covered in both of their blood and sweat... yeah, it was pretty gross. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips before carefully slipping away from him, wandering up towards his room. She saw his mother on the way, and stopped her in the halls, breifly explaining what had happened if she hadn't already heard. She'd probably want to go and see he son. She made it to her room quickly, and got showered and changed into some of Kais lounge wear... it was comfy, and she wasn't too bothered who saw her anymore. They could all know she was his. She made her way back to the ward, but not before grabbing that little teddy she'd picked up for him the first time she'd seen him in the ward, after Orianna shot him. She hoped she was back before he could wake up to give it to him.
