Amira watched him, concern radiating from her as she rubbed his back. "I'm sorry, baby."

Sage just breathlessly reached over to pat her leg, not wanting to worry her but clearly struggling to function. He was tired but apparently couldn't just lay down like he normally did. He'd need another pillow or .. something.

Amira grabbed a pillow, propping it behind him to help support his weight. "Sit back, love." She said, concern and worry still lacing her every thought

Sage sort of just watched her get another pillow, and then flopped back onto them with a sort of sigh, though that caused him to cough again. "I'm ok," he sort of wheezed in response to her comment, though he couldn't deny he was a little worried himself.

"No, baby, you aren't" She said softly, her hand taking his. She touched the back of her hand to his forehead again, immedietly retreating when the hot skin touched her. "I'm sorry."

Sage sort of wrinkled his nose, shaking his head slightly. "I don't have time to be sick," he grumbled, curling under the blankets with a shiver, clearly annoyed he couldn't be up and working. And what if the baby got sick too? Or her? He'd feel terrible.

"Yes, you do. Take your time. You'll be fine." Amira murmured softly, though she didn't know if she was trying to convince him or herself
| |

Sage sort of huffed out a small breath, clearly annoyed to be sick. "I have things I need to do," he grumbled, though was already nodding off again, relaxing against her shoulder.
| |

"And those things can wait for you to get healthy." She said, riunning her fingers lightly through his hair
| |

Sage sort of just sighed and nodded, too tired to try and argue. It didn't take long before he'd passed out again, despite wanting to talk with her. He probably needed the rest though, he supposed.
