Axel snickered softly when he pointed to the ceiling. "I've done worse," he mused. "Though a closet could work I suppose," he agreed with a shrug. Honestly, the ceiling was a sort of challenge, and he had energy that needed to be used, so he'd probably go up there anyway but ....he could hide in other places too.

Duncan raised a brow and chuckled. "Okay then," he mused.

Axel just gave him a grin, shaking his head with slight amusement. "How long does it normally take for them to bring you food," he asked, mostly out of curiosity.
| |
| |
"Not long," he murmured just as there was a knock on the door. "Hide!" he mouthed to him urgently.
| |

Axel nodded in response to his comment, already moving as the knock sounded. He moved from the bed to the dresser, and then up onto the rafters easily, settling up there in one of the shadows comfortably as he watched Duncan move to the door.

Duncan answered the door, politely taking the food from the maid and thanking her, shutting the door behind her. He smiled, looking up at Axel. "Well, I wasn't expecting that" he chuckled.

Axel watched as Duncan thanked the maid, waiting for him to turn and talk before he did anything. Just in case. He grinned down at the prince from where he was settled though, chuckling softly. "I did tell you I've been in worse spots," he pointed out, moving to hang off the rafter and then let himself drop, landing smoothly and then standing up and moving towards Duncan, peering at the plate. "Besides, I haven't had the chance to use up any energy recently," he pointed out. "What's on there," he added on, talking about the food.

| |
"Mm, I suppose you do learn stuff like that when in tough spots, huh," he chuckled. "Just the usual," he sighed, setting the tray down on the table. There was enough for both of them on it.

Axel hummed in agreement, plucking a small bunch of grapes off the plate. "It's honestly easier than trees," he admitted, popping a grape in his mouth. "Doesn't move as much," he added lightly. He plopped down on a chair by Duncan and the plate then, just idku shifting it back and forth as he worked through the fruit.

Duncan sat across from him, plucking food from the dish here and there. "Mm, I guess thats true," he chuckled.
