Lorelei was grinning ear to ear, very, very happy. "Yeah, I really did," she giggled. She enjoyed that much more than going out for a fancy lunch.

"Now let's get you home and i'll make you dinner. What would you like?" He asked softly, smiling but not coming any closer to her as he started the car and drove to her house

Lorelei shrugged with a yawn. "I'm good with anything," she murmured. Soon, she fell asleep in the car.

Kai smiled, glancing over at her and sighing. Oh, he was so sold. Pulling into the driveway, he killed the engine and gently carried the books inside. He placed them on the table before gently carrying her bridal-style into the apartment and into her bed. He smiled adoringly, tucking a lock of hair behind her shoulder before going and sleeping on the couch. He double and triple checked throughout the night that she was warm and comfortable and safe.

Lorelei slept happily and soundly through the night.

At 5am the next morning, Kai got up and walked to the kitchen. He made her breakfast again, making sure the books weren't damaged as he moved them

Lorelei woke up quite a bit later. She woke up slowly, basking in the sun as it streamed through her floor to ceiling windows.

Kai walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Good morning. I have paperwork to do today so i'm gonna head out. I left you breakfast on the table, books are on the shelf, and I did the dishes. I'll get out of your hair now" He said, pulling his hand away mid-sentence. "Sorry for bothering you and...yeah" His smile faltered for a moment, his heart panging with want to stay with her all day, but jobs had to be completed. "Call if you need" He added, walking out the door and driving to his house. He dressed in his usual black jeans and black t-shirt before going to his father's mansion. He spent the enitre day getting yelled at and hit for not reporting back the previous night. He had kept pleading and apologizing to his father as he was beat before finally escaping and going to his own mansion. He sat on his bed, crying and wanting to see Lorlelei. I told her to call if she needs, and if she doesn't, i'll leave her alone. She doesn't want you. You're a killer. Not good enough. She hates you. Don't talk to her. His mind scolded him, telling him these things over and over

Lorelei smiled. He was so good to her, "Okay, thank you," she smiled sleepily up at him, watching him go. Lorelei took her time getting up. She ate and put her dishes in the sink before reluctantly getting ready for a mandatory party her father was hosting at their family estate. She had been sent her dress as their family was all supposed to be in the same style and color, a red, satin, form-fitting dress, that revealed quite a lot, along with red bottom heels. She absolutely hated it. But she had to. So Lorelei got all prettied up, doing her makeup and hair, and finally changing into the god-awful dress and shoes. Around dinner time, her limo picked her up, driving her to her childhood home. When she got there she was escorted to the ballroom by the guards and joined the party, greeting and speaking with her family and guests, only pretending to sip on her wine. She didn't drink. As the night wore on, the more tired she got. She switched her wine out for sparkling water, that looked like champagne and actually drank some of it. But at this point, Lorelei was so tired she didn't notice as a man slipped something into her drink. Lorelei blacked out pretty fast and woke up in a small closet. Her dress was tattered, on the other side of the small space, her underwear gone. Her head was pounding and she had bruises everywhere. Lorelei knew what had happened, she could still feel the pain. Holding her tears in, she got back into her dress, exiting the closet and leaving quickly. Once she was a safe distance from the house, she began to cry. She'd been violated so many times, she couldn't count. Even though it happened on a regular, it didn't make it better. Lorelei tried walking home, but she felt awful and it was too far. She pulled out her phone and called Kai, absolutely sobbing her eyes out.

Kai picked up immedietly. "What's wrong?" He asked, already grabbing his keys and tracking her phone. He pulled up beside her, hopping out and grabbing her gently. He crushed her against his chest, his cheek pressed against her temple. "Who did this to you?" He asked softly, gently, nodding when she said the name. "This will never happen to you again. I promise." He vowed softly, opening the passenger door for her and turning the car's heater on. He offered her his hand halfway through the drive
