Laurel was just getting comfortable again when the shooting began. She felt a sharp stinging in her arm, but her adrenaline was too high to acknowledge it, especially when Luca drug her inside and pinned her to the wall. She felt blood running down her arm after he left and she winced, looking at it. Just a graze. A small graze. She flinched when she heard another gun shot, but when Luca came back she felt a wave of extreme relief. "A-A bullet grazed me, but I'm okay. Did you get shot?" She asked, searching him over for any sort of wound, her hands shaking slightly.

Laurel was still trying to examine him when he made her let him tend to her small wound. It wasn't too bad, but it hurt worse than anything she'd experienced before. She whimpered and started to pull away when he tied his jacket sleeve around the wound, but she caught herself and let him pick her up. "Thank you.." she whispered, meaning it more for just the temporary tending of her wound. The man had killed someone for her, risking himself before coming back to see about her. It was swoon worthy, and as her head resting against his chest, nothing else truly mattered.

Laurel was shocked something like that had happened and she assumed it had been someone wanting to kill Luca, not her. When they got to the penthouse she tried to sit still, letting him tend to her without worrying about how bad of a "patient" she was. "Thank you, Mr. Catalano," she told him, standing up to look over him again. "Are you okay? I know even being hit with a vest on hurts.." she mentioned, her brows furrowed as she looked for any sign of damage to the vest or any sign that he was in pain.

Laurel nodded and stepped back to give him a little space. "Alright.. Again, I cannot thank you enough for taking care of me and ensuring I am safe."

Laurel was uncertain of what to do now, her heart still thumping crazily in her chest as she watched him with unfamiliar emotions filling her mind. "Do you need anything more from me now? Company? Or would you rather me just go and come back later for my usual shift?" She asked, nibbling at her bottom lip.
