Caleb set the calf down gingerly, being careful of it's leg. He looked over at Cass to release the cow. He got out of the way as the cow charged into the pen, protective of her baby. Caleb sighed and mounted up onto Splash. He turned to Jesop again. "Anything else?" He asked, sweat creating a shine on his face and arms

Cass let the cow go. Jessop closing the gate behind the cow and her calf. "Nope, just need to let John know we need a vet out probably as soon as tomorrow" He said nodding back to the calf. Cass walked over to Jessop and Caleb. "Late lunch today with all these calves done" He dusted his hands together and left the brand to cool in a bucket of water. He mounted his grey mare and followed alongside them, leading the way back up to the house and the barn. Cass and Jessop causally chatted along the way.

Cass eyed Caleb leave, she felt a pull on her heart as she watched him ride away. She turned back to Jessop who gave her a look. She grinned like an idiot and shrugged. They arrived back at the barn, Jessop seeing to his mare and Cass spending some quality time with Salem in the barn. The dog, named lunch, was wandering about.

(Sorry, was at work) As Caleb was walking past the barn, he saw Cass. He walked down the barn aisle and up to Cass in Salem's stall, hanging out with him. "Hey." He said, walking into the stall. He leaned against the wall, watching her pet the horse. "He's gorgeous." Caleb murmured, walking up to the stallion and stroking his neck.

Cass watched Caleb, as he leant against the wall. Salem paused his munching and moved over to Caleb, nibbling his pocket. Cass laughed "Thank you, I think he wanted a treat though" She smiled. "My family bred him. He was born here on the ranch, along with his parents. All the horses here go back for generations on the farm, we just buy in new blood occasionally" She swung her head to Jessop's mare. "She's new, so he will be going to her next season".

"Nice." He commented. He looked at her ace, her eyes, with a smile. He so badly wanted her, but he didn't wat too much too soon and push her away

Cass paused, catching him staring, she smiled softly, pushing back a loose strand of her dark hair behind her ear. Salem nuzzled Caleb again more impatiently this time.

Caleb walked closer to her, still softly smiling. "You really want to hang out with me tomorrow?" He asked quietly, looking deep into her eyes

Saelm snorted his displeasure. He turned back to his hay and carried on munching. Cass, watched him before turning to Caleb as he closed the distance between them, her heart in her mouth. Her brows knitted in temporary confusion. "Of course I do..." She paused "Is something wrong?" She asked, wondering why he was asking.
