Rolling his eyes as he strode closer to freedom. Indignantly holding a hand on the door as she called him. Visisbly stiffening before he turned to acknowledge her. "Whatever you say, Madame." He smiled politely and pushed the door open. He left the mansion and stood outside under the overhang for a while. Listening to the rain. Which eventually it did slow and then sometime after that stop. It was just humid and cloudy, but the sunset would be awesome.

Ariadne dipped her head lightly. "See you soon." She purred in response, pleased, at least, that he wasn't utterly undisturbed. He didn't like it. And, that had been her goal. She settled back and smiled out the window, already pulling all sorts of plans around in her brain to see how best she could make him squirm- or, better, make him snap. See something other than what he had just shown. Burn to the end of that wick of patience.

Dinner had been delicious and awkward and maybe a little deliciously awkward for some around the table. Laying his eyes on his now mistress? Lady? Whatever. He was looking at her. But not for very long, he didn't want to attract any attention, just concerned with eating his food. So he could go have an even more delicious time with the woman he was apparently courting.

Ariadne was quiet and silently pleased with herself all through dinner, the only one at the table who didn't seem the slightest bit uncomfortable. The silence was enjoyable compared to the constant chit chat that surrounded family dinners, so she couldn't say she minded it much. She dismissed herself slightly early, giving Larach a light nod of acknowledgement and essentially ignoring her courtier entirely. She made her way out of the dining hall and up to her room, changing into a sturdy pair of black riding pants and a fluffy white shirt, covered by a black riding jacket. She threw on some boots and tied her hair back, stretching as she made her way downstairs and to the Grand Hall. Most of the others were still eating dinner, so she didn't have to worry about her attire. Besides, they were, indeed, riding clothes.

The silence dragged on even after she left, he finished his plate and was granted freedom by Larach, nodding respectfully to the others at the table before he left the room. Stalking to the grand hall, he came iup somewhat behind her. "What are you wearing?" He asked in a curious manner rather than judging or tempermental. He looked down at himself comparatively, he felt rather dressed down despite these being some of his better clothes.

Ariadne heard him approach, but continued inspecting her nails idly. Just to see what his intention was. She raised her eyebrows at the lack of greeting and turned lightly to face him, tilted her head. "Hello to you too, Leafling. I'm wearing clothes, if it wasn't entirely obvious. Unless you were expecting me to go without?" She drawled sarcastically, though not in a bitter way. At least he wasn't accusatory, or judgemental- as she had partially expected. "Shall we?" She asked lightly, watching him with a faint smile. It was cold and a little rainy, which meant his attire wasn't entirely suited for the climate.

He was mainly confused with why she would need to change clothes for what they were doing. Whatever that was. From the sheer amount of fabric on her body, he assumed it was something outside. He ran very warm thankfully, choosing not to ask anything of going to get something warmer considering he figured he wouldn't need it. "i asked because I do not know why you must change clothes for it." He corrected evenly, coming closer, accepting her invitation. Or whatever it was.

"Perhaps I simply wanted to look special for you." Ariadne shrugged, gently moving to take his arm and walk lightly out the doors of the Grand Hall. "What are you to Larach, exactly? I've found that I can't quite puzzle out your diplomatic role." She offered simply, guiding him down the stairs and off down a path through the gardens. They were dark and unimpressive with the lack of moonlight, slightly intimidating. Still; even in the pouring rain, she knew it like the back of her hand. And didn't seem even the slightest bit perturbed by the fat drops of water coming down on her head.

He stood silently, ignoring her sarcasm. He took her arm and let her lead the way. He glanced down at her, a good question. “I believe you call my rank ‘count’, I have some say and usually accompany someone higher to visits like this one.” He answered evenly. It was crisp and wet, very wet outside and rather nice feeling by his standards. Other than being pelted by the storm it was nice. He thought slightly the same about her garden. In the darkness, it was eerie, shadowy and it would’ve been hard to see in the pitch black for any other but he wasn’t having any trouble. His elven eyes were well adjusted within seconds. Curious of where they were going, he was listening too.

Ariadne tilted her head slightly as he explained his rank, raising her eyebrows slightly. "I see. So, you're just the puppy who accompanies higher-ups on envoys. Interesting." She said lightly, winding her way through the garden until they were moving over flat land. She was unhurried and tilted her head at him. "Do you enjoy it?" She asked bluntly, stepping into a barely lit barn.
