Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, nodding slightly in response. "I think I'd rather have you with regular eyes," he mused, looking over at her. "If I saw someone as pretty as you with bleeding eyes, I would be running as far away as possible," he mused lightly. He hummed lightly in response to her comment about the haircut, lapsing into silence. When Lizzie started cooking a minute later though, he groaned and crawled over to get the girl. "You're hungry again," he sighed, scooping the girl up and moving to grab the carrot mush and go back to next to T.

T flushed very slightly as he commented on her beauty again. It wasn't a common compliment, even before the Apocalypse. She enjoyed it just as much as any woman would, just the slightest bit flustered by it. "Probably look like a horror show. Anyway, I really did all of us a favor." She teased, closing her eyes in content as he went quiet. She chuckled at his groan, shifting to watch him get Lizzie with a smile. She shook her head in teasing disbelief as he came back. "I can't believe you're nineteen and already have the dad groan." She joked.

Sage noticed the girl's flush and couldn't help but grin. He had to admit, he did enjoy flustering her a bit.... especially since he got flustered so easily. He chuckled at her comment and shrugged, then gave her a grin in response to her comment about the dad groan, as she'd called it. "Me either," he admitted. "I'm rather surprised you didn't find any grey hair up there," he half joked, settling down again and working at feeding Lizzie, who was luckily hungry enough to eat without much of a fuss. He was always grateful for that. He did feel bad he kept just feeding her the same thing over and over again ...but he didn't have many options.

T snickered at him. "Who's to say I didn't? Maybe I just didn't tell you." She joked, grinning as Lizzie started to eat with very little fuss. She sat up and moved closer to him, so that her shoulder was pressed very slightly against his. She looked down at the child quietly, a simple smile settling on her lips. "I never liked kids, y'know. I always thought they were- I dunno, fussy. Smelly. Loud. Not worth all the time and energy people put into them." She started softly, leaning in over his shoulder, that peculiar smile still lighting up her face. "I used to think they took away the best years of some people's lives. Its not like they were an option for me anyway. But I think I get the appeal now." She nodded softly, reaching down to drag her fingertip from the top of Lizzie's forehead to the bottom of her nose with a sigh.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "Well I wouldn't be surprised," he mused, giving Lizzie another bit of carrot. He chuckled in response to her comment and nodded. "I never liked them either.....Amy wanted one though and I didn't get much of a choice to say no," he mused. "I dreaded getting her pregnant," he added with a shrug. "But I do love my little girl," he cooed down at Liz, who looked up at him with a big grin, carrot smeared everywhere, which earned a small chuckle from sage.

T offered him a gentle smile, but it fell at the idea of him being so utterly forced into something he didn't want. It was terrible to think he had to go through anything like that, and she found herself surprisingly angry at a dead woman for something she couldn't change. She turned her head watched him with something that would most resemble empathy. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that." She said softly, her tone genuine. She set her head gently on his shoulder and looked down at Liz, the contagious smile on the baby's face forcing a small one to light up T's. "And she loves her daddy too." She cooed at the child, mirroring his tone.

Sage sort of hummed in response to her comment, shrugging with a sort of sigh. "Yeah," he hummed. "I try not to think about it much," he admitted with a chuckle. He was rather surprised when she rested her head on his shoulder, but leaned into her slightly after a moment of shock, honestly quite glad for it. He'd found that he quote liked creature comforts....maybe that was because he hadn't had it before, but still. "Yes she does," he cooed at the baby happily.

"I definitely understand that." T nodded softly, watching the child intently. She closed her eyes as he rested his head softly against her own, leaning into him faintly. She took a small breath and relaxed for a few moments, huffing softly.

Sage sort of just hummed softly in response to her comment, just happy to sit there with the girls. They weren't cuddling, exactly, but whatever was happening was definitely nice. Comforting. He hadn't felt this relaxed in a very, very long time. Maybe ever....he really wasn't sure. He felt a small smile form on his face when he heard her huff, since he figured it meant they were both happy. He wiped Liz's mouth off once she'd finished eating, and slowly moved to set her down on the blankets before going back to T.

T settled with him, enjoying his warmth and the feeling of affection before he moved off. She gently lifted her head from his shoulder and watched him move to put Liz down. She offered him a smile when he came back, laying down and patting the spot close at her side, silently asking that he do the same.
