Sage huddled in the corner for a while, sort of laying there lazily as he waited for the girl. He heard her eventually, and crouched on all fours, straining to hear what she was doing. It was difficult to hear much because of the stone, but he also knew that he'd hear her coming. She would have to follow his zigzags around....which would be harder for her, and that was alright. He half jumped when he heard her yell to him, and moved back slightly and quietly. If she couldn't hear him, maybe she'd think he wasn't there. He assumed she'd know he was there though, which was why he was heading for the other entrance. He noticed the branches there, and examined them. There was a patch with less branches...but the girl wasn't that careless. No, that was there for a reason. She wanted him to go through there. No doubt there was something outside there she wanted him to run into. He crept closer to look through a hole to try and gauge what she'd done. When he was unsuccessful, he determined he'd just have to try and outsmart the girl. So, he backed up and hurdled through the branches, letting them break loud enough to make her think he'd done what she wanted. He landed in a roll though, so her snare was too small to fit around him and snapped back harmlessly. He then scuttled to the side, over his previous zig zags to get behind the girl. Stalking the stalker. Hopefully, that would work.

Quinn tipped her head when she heard a crack. She hurried to the front, and saw the snare was tripped, but there was no Sage. She immediately knew what he did. "Good night! He jumped through the thinner branches, rolled along the ground so it practically just STUNG his back, then raced to... where... where would I go I feel I knew the person trying to find me was smart... and fast... and not strong...." Her face suddenly lit up and she whirled, running and jumping so fast Sage could even comprehend it. She was on him before he knew it... but for some reason she got off when he fell over. Suddenly he felt a tug and he was dragged backwards along the ground by his foot until he was outside the cave, hanging, dangling in the air by his foot. Quinn walked out, grinning and quickly tied his hands together so he couldn't untie the rope. "Wouldn't you like to know what I did?" She teased, staring at his upside down face.

Sage crept along behind her, thinking he was pretty much in the clear until the girl had suddenly bowled him over. He let out a surprised yelp and sort of just gawked at her from where he was hanging upside down. "I suppose your game plan would be nice to know, considering you just managed to snare me without having a snare on you last time I checked," he hummed. "Oh, and by the way, you still haven't won," he giggled. "I'm not on the ground," he crowed. "Your rules, not mine," he chirped. She couldn't just drop him on his head, so she'd have to figure out a way to pin him without him getting over her again.

"I know I haven't won yet, and I wanted it to be a secret! Now, I'm still trying to figure out how to get you on the ground. My plan of action right now is to tie you in so many knots and can just let you down gently and you can't move, so you just lay there for five seconds and I won. I might want to think of a better plan though... ooo like let you hang there till all the blood rushes to your head and you pass out, then I just let you you gently and wait 5 seconds and I win. Should I think of a better plan?" Quinn mused, her eyes twinkling cheerily. Right now his feet and hands were tied together in the same knot she used last time.

Sage huffed out a breath and rolled his eyes, though he was really all just enjoying this. "I think letting me pass out when I morph tonight is a great plan," he muttered sarcastically, though there was no I'll emotions in his voice. "I think I'll just let you win this one so you don't just drop me on my head and we can get back," he mused in an amused tone of voice before holding his hands out to the girl. "You win. Now untie me," he chuckled.

"Aha! See, that is the easiest way to win. Leave them no choice!" Quinn smirked, untying his hands and feet quickly enough that again, he didn't see how she did it. She then fiddled with a knife that magically appeared in her hand (not magically but she has no pockets in her pants...) and tried to decide wether to drop him on his head or lower him down gently. She decided to lower him down, and put away the knife grabbing the rope and lowering gently. "Tada" she smiled

Sage huffed out a breath when Quinn teased him about giving him no choice. "Oh please," he huffed. "I'm just conserving my energy for tonight," he grumbled. Though, he lay still and cooperative while she cut him loose. He stood up then and gave the girl a grin. "Well that was fun, but I need to go back now," he hummed. "You can stay, but you'll be up all night," he hummed apologeticly.

"Just conserving my energy" she copied him, but in a much higher and sweeter voice. She snorted. "It was fun, anyway. And I am staying. I'm not going back to that wretched castle... with My menacing mom in it. I don't really care if I'm up all night, I'll be fine." Quinn nodded, whistling. Sahara came galloping up a few seconds later. Quinn jumped on her back. "Tata!" She grinned, clucking to Sahara. The horse galloped off through the trees. If he didn't get back soon, she'd go and find him. Quinn soon reached the campsite, stretching and jumping off her horse. "Good girl.." she soothed, brushing out her coat before asking to the stream and splashing her face with water Edited at March 24, 2023 10:21 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage chuckled lightly and rolled his eyes at the girl as she imitated him and then sped off. He sort of just jogged back to the campsite, slowly but surely. He used his wolf lope that didn't take almost any energy at all, even though it was a couple miles back to the campsite. It took him maybe half an hour or so, so not super long. He sort of just went to pat the horses, who greeted him at the clearing and then pattered over to the girl, watching the sky rather nervously. The sun was already setting...and while it had been a good day, morphing was awful and it always terrified him. His stomach was already churning as he thought about how soon it would be, and he was filled to the brim with nervous energy.

Quinn looked around, her green eyes sad as she saw Sage frowning. She sighed, walking toward the thendnand sitting down inside, her knees up near her chin.
