"Oh." She said, slightly irritated. She turned and cantered to the trees and looked to the ranch. She didn't see anyone coming, so she returned to the others

He shifted, slightly puzzled at her irritation. "What bothers you about that idea." He said curtly, looking at her as she came back. "And don't say nothing. You are now irritated and I HATE when someone I say irritated at me, or anyone near me."

"I- Nevermind. You wouldn't care anyways. " She knew he would, but didn't feel like talking. She walked away from the others and laid down a few yards from the rest of the mares.

"I'm very annoying, you should know that by now. Please tell me, really. I want to know and I do care. I promise I won't be offended." He half begged her, smiling slightly

"No." She closed her eyes and put her head down.

"Blaze! I really want to know, okay? I won't laugh at you or be offended or anything, I won't even be surprised! We can go somewhere else if you want, I really need to know. I got shot to rescue your sister and you won't even tell me what bothering you!" Raptor looked sad, then immedietely regretted saying the last thing. "I didn't mean I thought like that, I'm sorry. If you don't want to tell me that's fine." He said quietly, walking away

She pinned her ears. "You chose to come with me! You didn't have to come with! You didn't have to go break the fence! I had my own plan!" She yelled after him. She pinned her ears and snapped at a mare that tried comforting her. She turned and cantered away from the others. Back towards home. Edited at March 28, 2023 09:45 PM by KA Horse Co.

Raptor stared at her, speechless. Regret filled his gaze. He didn't say anything, but knew he messed up terribly. "Ohh what have I done...?" He moaned, his head drooping as he watched the mare gallop away. He knew he couldn't follow her... Raptor just hoped she came back... - He galloped away the other direction, only stopping when his shoulder buckled and he crashed to the ground, ripping open half his wounds. He stayed there, his heart practically breaking. He muttered over and over, "what have I done..."

She was about 5 miles from the others when she stopped. She held her head high and sniffed the air. "Wolves" She muttered. She pinned her ears, the whites of her eyes showing. The wolves had been tracking her for a few miles now. She was alone, an easy target. Stupid, stupid, stupid! The mare thought to herself. What do I do now? I can't turn back... She turned left, away from the woods and ran that way. The wolves followed, closing in on her.

Raptor finally got up, then heard a bone chilling howl. "Blaze!" He bellowed, terror shooting through his eyes. He galloped faster than he ever had before, his shoulder almost faltering but he pressed on ward till the scent was overwhelming. He could barely smell Blaze anymore. He tracked her scent to the left.. and there's, standing in a clearing, surrounded by 5 GIANT wolves, was Blaze. Raptor felt anger well up inside of him like the cloud of grief. He bellowed a warning, charging the first wolf and body slamming it aside, whirling on the second and lashing out with his hooves, catching wolf 2 in the ribs and flinging it backwards. He reared up and kicked wolf 3, sending it flying. Wolf 4 leapt onto him, latching its jaws onto his wounded shoulder. Pain shot through his gaze as he faltered, falling to the ground. Wolf 4 and wolf 5 jumped atop him, but suddenly went flying as he heaved himself to his feet. Wolf 1 had gotten back up, and was flying at him, latching its jaws on his side. He whirled, smashing wolf 1 head in and killing it immediately. Wolf 2 was already dead, and Wolf 3 staggered to its feet, whimpering then running off. Wolf 4 and wolf 5 charged him again, but he bared his teeth, pinned his ears, and charged. He body slammed both of them at once, sending them flying backwards the the force of a freight train. Wolf 4 hit a tree. There was a loud crack, then wolf 4 was dead. Wolf five gasped, laying on the ground. It had been paralyzed by the fall. Raptor put it out of its misery. He then looked at Blaze. "I'm so sorry..." he whispered before crashing over. His many wounds taking over his body. Then his vision went black...
