Sage felt his smile widen when the girl kissed him again, kissing her back just as passionately. It did seem like a good way to pass the time...she smelled nice, and she was warm and he felt comfortable with her, and that felt nice. He found that he was letting himself let his guard down a bit around her, and relax. Her hand on his chin was brushing his neck, and of course that was a vulnerable area he never let show. But right now, his head was tilted back, and anyone had easy access. But...well, he found he didn't care. He felt safe.

Claudia pulled away, blushing, "Sage...". She looked away from the boy and sighed, she wasn't used to this...amount of care...love. She looked back at Sage, giving him a sheepish smile before getting off her bed and walking to the door. "I...um think I'm going to get breakfast." Claudia blushed before opening the door, walking out, and downstairs. It was very odd, just...odd, for her, she would expect it to be the same for Sage but...

Sage nodded when the girl told him she was going to get breakfast, and once she was gone he curled up a little bit more. He was still tired, really, but his sides hurt, and he didn't really want to fall back asleep. He lay there for a few moments, thinking about the past few minutes. Neither of them were used to being loved...he had customers of course, but this was much different. The girl was kind. Gentle. And he loved her. He closed his eyes, thoughts spinning. But he felt nice. He had to admit that. It definitely wasn't bad. They'd just have to learn as they went.

Claudia got to the downstairs area of the Tavern, nodding hello's to customers. She decided to sneak into the kitchen, grabbing two plate fulls of sausage, eggs, and biscuits. Claudia smiled as she quietly but efficiently walked out of the kitchen, her heart stopped after a second of looking around. The man was back...he was staring right at her, glaring. Claudia saw him reach into his pocket, she didn't want to know what he was about to pull out, she pretty much already knew. A gun. Out of pure luck, a drunk woman, probably from the night before fell onto the hunter, keeping him distracted enough so Claudia could rush upstairs. Once she got there she quickly found her room, opened the door, and slammed it. With her back against it, she looked around the room, before her eyes landed on Sage. "I-I have to leave, now." she stuttered, keeping her gaze intently on the boy.

Sage squeaked in surprise when the girl burst through the door and then cocked his head slightly, a worried frown forming on his face. "Why? What happened?" He had no idea what had upset the girl...but it was obviously important. Was it that man...was he back? "Is it the hunter?" If it was, then she was right, she had to leave, and he was going with her. They'd make it out together. "Is Mr. Lopex's safe until we can come up with a better plan?"

"U-um yeah, I think so. He might guess we're there though." Claudia was practically shaking, he had a gun...why should that surprise her though? He was a hunter, but...she hadn't done anything wrong! What did he want with her?! Claudia looked at Sage with a worried expression, "Sage, I...Im scared.". Tears were forming in her eyes, she held her hands up to them in fists. She hated to know that Sage was seeing her like this, "I-I'm so sorry I have gotten you into this...", she was very much crying at this point. She hadn't meant for the hunter to come...

Sage thought for a moment, nodding, though the girl's voice broke him out of his thoughts and he struggled to his feet with a slight wince, wandering over to the girl and wrapping his arms around her in a hug. "It'll be alright," he hummed. "I chose to come into your life, even after you told me you were a vampire, no? I'm not going to back out now when things get tough. Things have always been tough, but being with you makes it easier. So don't you go apologizing now." He hoped it helped...he wasn't great with emotions himself. "Now, grab your things, or things you want to take with you. I know a back way out."

Claudia wiped her eyes, she gave a small smile at Sage before getting her bags ready, the Tavern wouldn't mind if she "burrowed' some of their clothes right? After she was done packing she nodded to Sage, "Im ready, what about y-". There was a loud banging on the door, and a yelling voice, telling them to open the door. "Is there a safer way to get out...from this room?" Claudia was trying to calm herself down, it was almost impossible though, with a loud threatening man with a gun outside her bedroom door. Yeah, no, it was very scary.

Sage smiled at Claudia and then scowled at the door, sliding over to the wall where he pried open a hidden door and grabbing the girl to drag her in and close the door behind them. It was dark, but that was fine, he knew where he was going. "This leads out of the tavern. We use it to carry out trash and stuff," he told the girl. They were outside soon enough, and they headed in the direction of Mr. Lopex's, though after a while of running, sages sides started to really hurt and his breathing got kind of jerky.

Claudia slowed, putting a hand on Sage's shoulder, trying to slow him. "Sage, maybe it would be best to take...a break, or at least slow your pace. You don't look too good.". She looked at him, and gave a slight smile, besides she was getting cramps from running. The hunter had most likely slowed or even lost the trail of the two, giving them enough time to take a short break. Claudia walked up next to Sage, holding his hand she smiled. "Let's take a break, come on." she gently tugged at Sage and sat down, her back to a tree. This area looked a bit familiar actually, she soon noticed it was the way Sage had brought her to the Tavern, at least they would be able to map out the environment easier.
