He grunted. "Cool." He turned around and sat down next to her, using his hair to hide the blush that was slowly creeping up his cheeks. He picked up a different book and glanced at the cover before busying himself in reading the book, trying to ignore how close the girl was.

Ellie smiled softly glancing at him once in a while as she read her book, she bit her lip slightly as she started to focus on the book.

The book was pretty good, so he read it all the way through. He was a pretty fast reader so he finished in a few hours. Once he had finished, it set it down and stood up. "Imma go see if I can hunt something down for dinner."

He grunted in acknowledgement and walked out of the cave. He slid down the backside of the cave and hopped over the river. He picked up a rabbit trail and followed it. He came across the rabbit and threw his dagger, killing it. He picked it up and and started to head back to the cave when he heard a hissing noise behind him and he ducked instinctively. An arrow flew past him and he sighed. "If you're going to try and kill me, do it better," he called in the direction the arrow came from. A man stepped out of the trees with a growl. "I'll be taking that rabbit boy." Sage raised and eyebrow. "Oh? You're going to have to take it then." The man laughed and charged him, and Sage easily slipped to the side before spinning on his heels and meeting the man's sword. They fought for a while, before the man managed to get a lucky hit in, his sword cutting Sage's side. Sage snarled in annoyance and pain and lunged at the man, killing him. He looked at his side, and upon deciding he didn't need to stitch himself up, he started back to the cave.

Ellie had fallen asleep her book laying on her chest. the book open on the page she had stopped on the corner of the page was folded slightly so if the book was closed she could start reading on the paged she stopped on. she shifts slightly and the book falls off her chest. Reading made her tired but she loved reading all the different stories, fantasy was her favorite.

Sage slipped back into the cave and saw the girl was asleep. He picked the book up and closed it, setting it next to her but making sure her spot was saved. Then he slid over to where the fire was and began to quietly clean the rabbit. His side had mostly stopped bleeding by then, so he wasn't at all worried about it. Infection was an option, but he had a good immune system built up.
