Kai glanced over at her and smiled, the sight of her at such peace making every worry in the world fall away

Lorelei slept happily.

Kai drove about halfway to their destination before becoming hungry. He gently placed a hand on Lorelei's arm. "Baby? I'm gonna be stopping for food, do you want anything?"

"Mm... sure..." she mumbled, waking slowly.

"Do you want me to get it to go and you stay here or do you wanna walk in with me?" He asked, pulling into a small restraunt's parking lot

"I'll stay here," she yawned, still not fully awake.

Kai nodded an unbuxkled before kissing Lorelei's cheek and getting out. He walked in and ordered them both fettuccine alfredo. He waited next to the window as the food was made and glanced every now and then out at the car where Lorelei was--just checking on her. After about a half hour, the food was brought out. The scent of breadsticks, noodles and cheese made his mouth water as he walked out to Lorelei. "Hey, baby" He said softly, getting in and getting out the food. "I got fettuccine alfredo and breadsticks for both of us." He informed her softly

Lorelei was awake fully now, she smiled over at him, it smelled delicious. "Mmm, thank you, it smells great,'' she smiled, digging in.

"Of course" He said softly, eating his as well until finally finishing a bit later. He pulled out of the parking lot and grabbed a couple of the redbulls from the backseat. He set one in her cupholder and one in his, cracking his open. "We should get there in about 3 or 4 hours" He informed Lorelei
