Sage slept for a while until some nightmares stirred him awake. He groaned and glanced over at the clock before forcing himself up. If he fell back asleep now he most likey wouldnt sleep well that night, and considering the fact that things with the queen had only gotten more and more heated, he'd need to have enough sleep to keep a straight head during the day. He stretched and sat up, and when he noticed Anya he cocked his head slightly. What was the girl doing? It was obvious she was asleep, but she didn't normally get undressed and curl up under a blanket in his room. Well, rather, the room he was staying in...it wasn't technically his. He sighed softly and watched her for a while before tearing his eyes away from her peaceful figure and deciding to draw until she woke up and explained what was going on in her head. If she didn't want to see him she wouldn't have come in here...but he had to admit he was a bit nervous as to what she had to say. She was worried ... But apparently still able to sleep, which was good. He'd shower later, but figured it would be a bit awkward if she woke up while he was in the bathroom. So, he just started sketching out the castle the way he could see it out the tavern window. Far away, and barely reachable. And yet here he was, in love with the princess and staying in the castle. Oh, how he wished Lizzie were here...she would have loved this. Without realizing he'd done it, he'd sketches Lizzie into the castle, a regal looking figure he thought, in the gowns that she no doubt would have gotten.

Anya managed to get a decent amount of sleep during the night, considering she'd been asleep on a couch. It was a little chilly, but in all fairness, she'd much rather it be a little cold than walk through the castle at night. It was safe, she had lived there long enough to know that, but sill. The halls in the dark were scary as hell, and Sage was pretty much on the other side of the castle. It was probably a little odd, that he was just well, there when he woke up. It probably would have been more understandable for her to have jumped in with him, in a proper bed and they could have cuddled up a little, but if she was being honest, she was a little scared. Not of Sage, but of what he might do. Luther said he had gotten in a bit of a spat with her mother, and she wasn't sure what would tip him over the edge. Her being needy would probably do that, especially after she told him to get lost. She'd rather weird him out a bit than being killed by him, for sure. She slowly started to wake up after a little while, a small groan coming from her as the sun shone through a window and into her face. She quietly rolled over so that she was facing away from the window and into the room. The girl curled up a little tighter, holding onto the blankets tightly before opening her eyes. Sage was up... which was odd, considering she was normally awake a good long while before he was. She murmured something unintelligible before slowly sitting up with a small stretch, then quietly getting up, still wrapped up in the fabric as she wandered over towards Sage, peering over his shoulder for a few moments before giving a soft yawn. "What're you drawing?" She whispered softly before leaning in and resting her head on his shoulder.

Sage jumped when she laid her head on his shoulder, then grinned sheepishly with a slight chuckle. So she'd finally startled him, and without even meaning too. That was ironic. Oh well, they could laugh about it he supposed. Well, she'd tease, he'd blush, and they'd joke around. He'd drawn quite a few things over the night...some like the castle, which was on top, and other things that were in his nightmares. Drawing things out helped him calm down a bit, even if it did keep it in a permanent location, but he could always throw them out. Anya probably wouldn't want to see those ones though, so he was glad the castle one was on top ....she probably wouldn't appreciate seeing his mother's head being crushed or his fathers actions he'd dreamed about, or other not so nice things he'd come across on the streets. But so far he'd managed to keep the nightmares and flashbacks away from Anya, and he was glad of that. He didn't need to burden her any more than he already did. "Whatever I can think of," he murmured, still tired from not sleeping much. He moved his hand so she could see, setting the pencil down and stifling a yawn. The girl gave a soft chuckle when he jumped and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek before wrapping her arms under his in a bear kind of hug. "Gotcha," she purred gently, her voice still heavy with sleep. she looked over his drawing of the castle, a small smile on her face. It was good... really good, and her weary smile got brighter, yet softer when he saw his little imagination of Lizzie. It was cute... and Anya couldn't imagine how much she would have loved it here. She would have managed to get along with her cousins, and they could run off and wreak havoc around the place... she was sure of it. Lizzie had definitely gone too soon, and Anya couldn't help but wonder that if she had gotten there a couple of days earlier, then she might have been able to help out a little. Help Sage keep his sister around so that he wouldn't be alone. She sighed slightly and gave him a teasing squeeze. "I'm sorry," she muttered slightly, getting ready to tackle the issue of, well, yesterday as a whole. It had all been a bit... mad. "About yesterday, for telling you to go. I didn't mean it," she murmured quietly.

Sage smiled softly and leaned his head back against her shoulder. "I know. But you did need to think not have me keep talking," he admitted. 'you know I'm not great with feelings. Id rather you tell me the blunt truth than pretend." He reached over and patted her hand softly. "Really, don't worry about it." He scrunched his nose up slightly. "I would be more worried about the fact that I managed to completely piss your mother off even more," he all but chuckled. "Pushing her out of my way probably didn't help either," he missed, glancing over at the papers she'd given him, which were still thrown all over the pale, the pencil halfway across the room. He supposed it had probably rolled over there when he'd thrown it over onto the table.

Anya shook her head slightly and gave a soft huff. Her head shifted a little so that she was kind of hiding in the crook of his neck. "I know, I know... but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't upset you. I get snappy when I'm nervous... and its not nice," the girl huffed before pressing a light kiss to soft of his neck. "And sometimes the truth isn't very nice. But I don't want to hurt you, Sage. There were better ways to ask you to take a break then telling you to 'go entertain yourself." Her breaths were light... shallow, still peaceful like she was sleeping. She wasn't really making much sense... she knew that, mostly because she was still tired, but she wanted Sage to know she really hadn't meant it. He seemed fine and all, but she knew how much something like that could hurt, especially since he was just trying to help in some way. The girl made an odd face when he mentioned her mother. "Really? You pushed her?" She murmured, her voice sounding a little more awake now. She knew they got a little heated... but shoving her out the way? That'd just make things worse. He had to know that. "I know you guys don't get along, but Sage, she's still my mother. Please don't start trying to push her around, it's not going to work." She murmured before looking around. There was paper everywhere. She scrunched up her nose before gently tickling his sides in an almost playful manner before cocking her head. "What the hell did she say to make you so upset?"

Sage squirmed slightly, a giggle escaping his lips when she started tickling him. "Anya, I know what it's like to need some alone time to think. Nothing you said upset me." Then he scrunched his face up. "I wasn't exactly intending to push her, it was more of a shoulder bump, and that was only because she yelled at me to leave and was blocking the exit." He rolled his eyes. "She's planning to end the rebellion, and great, good for her, but her plans suck and I told her that. Normally I could care less if she gets all her knights killed out on the streets but if that happens it puts you and Luther at risk." He shrugged. "The only reason she listened is because the guy she was with admitted I was right." He jerked his thumb at the papers around the floor. "Her way of telling me to get lost was worse than yours ....she told me to go make a training schedule," he chuckled, slightly teasing the girl, letting her know he truly wasn't upset with her. "So if course I'm going to make one just to shove it in her face, if I can manage to write neat enough she can even read it."

Anya gave a small smile when he mentioned her mothers stupid idea to get rid of the boy for a bit. Did she really think he wasn't going to make a schedule, even if it was just to piss her off even more? And he's probably make a good one too - just to annoy her. "Well, if you need a hand with the whole writing thing, I'd be happy to help. Luther might be up for it too. He might be a bit more help, considering he knows a bit more about this whole training thing." She shrugged slightly, pressing another kiss to his cheek, this time a little fuller before pulling her hands away before going to sit on the corner of his bed, still all wrapped up in the blanket. "We can make a better schedule than what she had planned... then you'll either gain her favor or she'll just hate you."' The girl chuckled softly and flopped back. "You know, I don't think she actually despises you. She doesn't like you for sure, but I reckon you're growing on her. Mainly because I like you and she knows that." She chuckled gently and fiddled with her hair for a while, still trying to wake herself up fully.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "Luther was there when it happened and he already offered to help. I'm sure we can manage to figure something decent out, unless I kill the guys training them too hard." The last parts were mostly a joke, especially the killing the guys off during training. But it could be a perfectly decent plan and the queen would most likely just not care, which would definitely annoy sage even farther. He walked over and flopped down onto the bed next to Anya with a sigh, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Nope, she just really hates me," he chuckled. "Though I will admit I did burst in on a secret meeting and tell her her plan sucked. To her face. Luther hid." He said the last part with a chuckle, remembering how the boy had frozen for a moment and then scrambled to hide, though the queen knew he was there. "And we scared them earlier. I got a scream out of your mother ... Neither Luther or I expected it and it was hilarious," he giggled, eyes dancing, even though it wasn't as energetic as usual since he was so tired. But he could deal with it, he supposed. He'd manage and try to sleep more at night. Last night just wasn't good, he supposed.

The girl gave a light chuckle before rolling her eyes. "Yeah, storming in on her meeting will do it." She teased lightly, reaching out to poke him playfully. It was odd, really. She wasn't sure how he had managed to find his way around the passageways... or why he thought it'd be a good idea to mess with his mother like that. He'd just make things worse between them. Not that it could get much worse, but she'd rather not give her mother a reason to hate the boy any more. "Oh, she terrifies Luther. She's been nothing but fair to him since we were children, so I haven't a clue why." She noted with a gentle snicker. Though, she had thought that the woman would be understanding towards Sage... and yet, she hadn't. Not from what Sage was saying, at least. But he wasn't exactly making this easy for himself. "I really don't think she hates you that much! If she did, you wouldn't be here right now, no matter how much I'd beg." She noted jokingly before turning her head to look at him with a half frown. "Oh, I was meant to ask how you'd feel about going out for a few nights? Try and hear word about this rebellion. You'll be in the tavern, and people talk, so I reckon you'll hear a thing it two." She shrugged slightly. He didn't have to go - and she wasn't sure how he'd feel about working in the tavern, especially since he could be working rooms, but he could always come back if that happened, she supposed.
