Sage hummed and nodded. "Yeah. Those are normally expensive," he admitted. Though, they didn't really have any family to invite a big thing. It would likely just be them, and Liz.

Sage just offered her a smile. "That's sort of my job as the guy," he pointed out with a chuckle, pecking her head. "And i enjoy it, so it's not really work," he added.

"But I feel so worthless..." She said, a memory of Luke telling her that she was flashing across her face and her expression changing for a slipt second

Sage smiled softly and shook his head. "You're not," he promised her gently. "If you want to work, you'll find something you like," he added softly. "Just don't rush it."

He just pecked her head again. "Don't worry, you'll figure something out," he promised her. "You do a lot for me too. Cooking food and all that. That's important and helpful too," he added after a moment.

"You could figure it out without me, though..." She muttered, standing and getting started on dinner as the sun began to set

Sage shrugged. "Maybe, but I wouldn't be happy here without you," he noted softly. "I don't know I'd even want to try. Without you, I'd still be at home and letting dad and my step mom walk all over me," he pointed out.
