Sage broke out of his own thoughts and grinned over at his wife, happily nodding. "It's seemed like she was only born yesterday," he hummed. He chuckled at Max's little tease directed at their daughter and watched them dance around, really just trying to focus on that. The nightmares had been getting worse, and he was trying to keep them out of his head. "hopefully," he hummed lightly, agreeing with the girl. Of course, a daughter would be great too.

Maxine looked at him raising a brow "You okay?" he asked curiously looking over his face "You seemed deep in thought just now..." she admitted "What about?"

|
Sage hummed and nodded in response to Max's question. He grinned sheepishly at her second, and then the last question. "Oh, just about what the next kiddo might be like," he kied rather easily. His gut seemed to twist at the fact he was lying to Max ....but she had enough to worry about. He could deal with it, he'd had for all this time. He knew Max wouldn't think less of him ...he'd cried to her before ...but he just didn't want to bother her at all.

Maxine looked at him skeptically for a second before she smirked "I know right? I still wonder what Charlie's gonna be like as she grows up..." she admitted "Given that she'll have more humanity then her sibling..." she admitted.

|
Sage hummed slightly and nodded. "I wonder the same thing all the time," he admitted. "but I also know we'll love them both no matter what, so really it's just imagining what they'd be like," he hummed. He really was curious, too.

|
"Of course!" she chirped happily "I couldn't ever not love one of our kids..." she said shaking her head "Never." she said looking up at him with a smile. "I think i'm done painting for now though... how about we take Charlie to the park after I clean up?" she suggested.

|
Sage hummed and nodded, reaching out to take Charlie so Max could get her area cleaned up. "Go ahead and clean...I'll get her ready and we can get going," he chirped. Maybe that's what he needed...maybe some time in the park laughing would help. Though, he'd been plenty happy, so he didn't think that was the reason for the nightmares getting worse. Whatever, he'd deal with them.

Maxine smiled and gave a nod handing Charlie over to him before she got to work cleaning up her workspace. Once it was cleaned up she cleaned herself up changed her clothes and joined them in the living room once they were ready they headed off to the park. "How about we push Charlie on the swings for a bit and then we can let her play in that little sandbox?" she suggested gesturing to the little sandbox where a couple of other kids were playing.

Sage nodded with a smile in response to Max's comment once they were down at the park, walking over to the slide and starting to push Charlie. The little girl giggled happily at the movement, and he was really enjoying this. All the worried and bad thoughts and memories seemed to vanish for a while as he played with his daughter....it was really, really nice. He wished it could be like this forever, he really did. (If you wanted we could have Max meet another young mom and build her friend group a bit or something, it might be nice. Up to you!)

I think that's a great idea... maybe a demon friend or two for them eventually too?) Maxine smiled standing in front of Charlie catching the swing and making a happy trilling sound and tickling her daughter making her laugh louder which caused Max to laugh too "Haha! Oh look at you so cute!" She chirped letting her swing backward to her father. A young women smiled at her from behind the 2nd and 3rd swing as she put her twins in them and pulled them back to let them swing "How old?" She asked looking at Sage "Almost a year." Maxine told her with a smile "Aw... how precious!" She chirped pushing her blonde hair behind her ear.
