Sage hummed softly with a shrug. "I think you saw how the world worked and didn't like it, so you made sure you were nice," he thought out loud. "Whether that was intentional or not ...that's how I've always seen it work," he added, wrinkling his nose in protest when she gave him the look. "I said I'd take the compliment," he protested with a laugh.

She smiled warmly, gaze softening as she listened to his words. "I think...that's the best way somebody else has ever put it." Elara mused, raising her brows at his protest. "You called me biased for saying you were handsome, as well."

Sage hummed softly in agreement. "I've had similar feelings. I guess I've just tried to think about them ....that's what seemed the most accurate," he admitted. Though, at her next comment, he snickered softly. "Well you are," he mused. "Not that I can say I mind," he added lightly with a wink.

She cocked her head playfully at his comment, tapping her chin with her finger as though lost in thought before meeting his gaze steadily once again. "Good, 'cause i'm going to keep saying it whether you like it or not." Elara mused, pecking his lips.

Sage just grinned up at her, humming happily when she kissed him. He was going to respond, but then Liz was calling for him, so he just threw Elara an amused look and a grin before rolling out of bed with a groan to go scoop Liz up and tell her good morning.

Elara felt him pull away, looking to see why he did before hearing Liz, realizing what the look was for as she sighed quietly, sitting up with a groan as she got up to start some breakfast.

Sage had greeted the still half asleep girl with a soft smile, scooping her up and propping her on his hip as he carried her over to where breakfast was being started. He held her for a few minutes until she was more awake, and then set her down so she could go outside and use the bathroom, watching as she dissapeared behind some bushes and then closing the door behind her once she ran back inside and clambered onto a chair near the table. He followed her in with a yawn, moving up to Elara and humming a soft "need any help?" to her.

"If you could start putting all the extra things away that'd be great," She mused, finishing cooking as she grabbed three clean plates, dishing out their portions before bringing them all to the table, handing one to Liz, one where she herself was sitting, and one for....wherever Sage would sit.

Sage nodded with a hum of agreement, moving to do as she'd asked. Once that was finished and everything was put away, he moved to grab his plate and settle down next to both her and Liz, happily reaching for the food on his plate. He was hungry now...he supposed making food had caused him to want something to eat.

Elara had grown out of the habits of dining in the royal hall---yet she didn't eat like an animal, couldn't let all the training go to waste. Eventually she finished, excusing herself as she started cleaning her plate, taking Liz's before eventually, wrangling the girl and wiping her face and hands off.
