Quinn snorted, but didn't comment any further. At Sage's last comment she threw him a bewildered look at the same time as Sahara did a tiny crowhop, jostling Quinn a little and sending more pain shooting through her shoulder. "Sage! I don't think she REALLY cares, she definetely would buck you off, and it's possible to get one person off and not the other!" Quinn exclaimed with a huff, though she couldn't help but snicker at the look on his face

Sage couldn't help but yelp when the mare did her little crowhop, though that was more because her spine had connected with his body in a really quite unleasant way, not because he was surprised. He was surprised too, but the yelp was really more because that was uncomfy. He grunted at Quinn's comment and wrinkled his nose. "Is it," he wondered outloud then he shrugged. "Well, either way I think getting bucked off would hurt less than what she just did," he grumbled, shifting his seat slightly to try and get more comfortable, though he of course wasnt mad at the mare.

Sahara tossed her head, which just made Quinn roll her eyes. "You are not helpful." She snorted teasingly at Sage before stroking the mare's neck. "Oh come on, her spine isn't THAT bony." She snorted, but she couldn't help but chuckle slightly at Sage's complaining. Sahara stomped a hoff as she was going, which obviously meant something becaise Quinn burst into giggles. "Sahara says she can prove two things. She can prove that only one person can get bucked off, and she can prove it would hurt more then what she just did. Now she asks if you want her to." Quinn explained with a laugh

Sage snorted and rolled his eyes. "It was bony enough," he huffed, though a light chuckle escaped him as well. Then he grunted and wrinkled his nose slightly. "Maybe we should ride Chaos and let her be the pack horse," he noted. "I think she's planning my murder," he joked lightly. "She'll win the who-can-get-pregnant first challenge if she leaves me behind somewhere," he added with a chuckle. He knew she would never actually do that...so it was fun to joke around about it.

"Uh huh, like Chaos would be any better. Oop, wait, nevermind, he's a male. Not a sassy mare. Maybe we should think about riding Chaos." Quinn said with a mischevious tone. Sahara let out a very loud snort, stamping another hoof and raising her head. "She is now planning both of our murders." Quinn announced cheerfully, then cast a glare at Sage. "I thought I told you not to make challenges... about me!" Quinn snorted, rolling her eyes before looking back at the trail.

Sage snorted out a laugh at that. "Are you saying us guys can't be sassy," he teased lightly. "Because Chaos is definitely a brat sometimes," he teased the horse, who stopped short, planting his feet and yanking sage off saharas rump sine sage had been holding onto his lead rope. Sage let out a surprised yelp, though he had enough sense to not pull quinn off with him. He sort of lay on his back for a moment, staring at the sky bafore getting back up with a groan and going back to climb onto the mare again. "I may be regretting a few life choices," he grumbled, though that was still mostly a joke.

"Uhhh... no. Sage, I live with you." Quinn burst out laughing, pain stinging searing and shooting through her shoulder... but she didn't really care. When Sage suddenly disappeared behind her Quinn was a good enough rider to stay on the horse, but she did lose her balance a little. After all, she had literally been using him as a wall to lean on. "Chaos.." Quinn complained with a snort, though she couldn't help but chuckle at Sage's words and his expression. "At least you named him appropietely."

Sage snorted and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, he hasn't gotten any less chaotic with age, either," he snorted, climbing back up onto Sahara with a grunt. It was a fond complaint though ..the horse was his best friend, he really was. (Short, mom's yelling to get off lol)

(I can understand that haha) - Quinn leaned forward so it was easier for Sage to get on, then settled back in a comfortable position where she wasn't putting any weight on him. She then proceeded to observe nature, doing what she told Sage to do and counting the different species of trees. Then she moved onto birds, since there was a lot of those. Chicadees, an eagle or two, woodpeckers, goldfinches, robins, sparrows... you name it, she probably saw it.

Sage hauled himself back up onto Sahara and was eventually content enough to just daydream and zone out while they rode. He trusted the horses to go where they needed to go, and he'd start paying attention for a place to stop and eat later on, in a few hours at lunch time. His head was running with thoughts, though, as always...kind of like a million tracks going around and around and around at breakneck speed all inside his head.
