Sage grunted in agreement before moving to slide into the castle through a side door he'd found a while back. They crept through the halls, grabbing everything they might want or need and they could carry, along with some simpler clothes for her to change into so she wouldn't be recognized by anyone outside the castle. Then they were out again, moving through the forest and to a spot he liked to camp out at on his way to a few various other cities.

Elara had grabbed a dark tunic and pants, fastening her cloak just a little tighter as they left. She crept through the trees if no path was seen, following Sage about a meter behind him. They eventually made it to the spot which they'd call camp for the day,her setting down the bow she had managed to grab along with the quivel of arrows she'd also managed to snatch. After the princess had done this, she made sure that the two daggers she'd grabbed were still in there sheaths before sitting at the base of a tree and carving into a branch due to boredom.

Sage had slipped through the woods quietly, occasionally glancing behind him to make sure the princess was still there. Once she sat down he sort of chuckled and spoke up though. "If you're tagging along and want to experience this, you're experiencing all of it," he noted with amusement, tossing her a small ball of rope to tie sticks together with. "We have to collect firewood and build a brush shelter before nightfall. The sooner we get working the better," he added.

"'Kay." She responded blankly, standing and tossing the stick aside before picking through and finding sturdy branches, starting to weave the rope in between them before tightining it. "This is the part I like most about the forest, you have to do things yourself, can't call for some maid to do everything." Elara noted, starting to make another piece.

Sage grunted and nodded, moving to gather sticks of his own. "Good, cuz I'm not gonna let you sit around while I do all the work," he noted with a chuckle. Maybe he should be glad she didn't care if he was familiar with her, since if she expected him to submit to her every whim he'd probably have gotten himself killed already. Oh well. He didn't really care

Elara just chuckled, finishing off another half. She stood and started weaving the rope more, securing it.

Sage gathered a decent amount of firewood before letting her get the rest of it as he moved to start building the brush shelter. That would take a while and was a lot of work, so the sooner he could get started on it, the better.

She handed off the last piece to him before standing and grabbing her bow. "I'm going to go find something to eat.I'll be back." Elara informed, grabbing the quivel before heading into the woods. She spotted a few rabbits and shot one, grabbing it by the ears before heading back to camp and tossing it on the ground. "Is that enough for the both of us or no?"

Sage glanced over at the girl and nodded when she mentioned she was going to get something to eat. He was almost done with the shelter by the time she came back, and nodded in response to her comment. "It should be fine," he noted, finishing the last few branches and then moving to start a fire to cook the animal

"Good, pretty sure I scared the few others with it away." Elara mumbled, sitting and starting to skin to animal.
