just wait I can make it get worse)) A little embarrassed blush crossed his cheeks when the corner's of the servant's mouth twitched up slightly. He nodded and put the blankets on the nearest table-like spot and came back, easing out the door. "I would not remember if I tried. Thank you," he paused for just long enough to decide whether or not he really did want to be loose-lipped, which he definitely did. "I have been looking for her since breakfast, we had an ...encounter," he laughed suggestively, "last night and I feel as we should talk about it. And- of all the places she could have expressed interest in courting me, she said it in front of her family! I was shocked." He threw his hands up slightly, looking down at her for the first time since they started walking.

The servant dipped her head in amused obedience, walking him down the hall as he came out of his room. She tilted her head up at him, fighting an all out grin. It was very improper speech, but not unexpected of a foreigner to speak with servants that way. "The lady of the manor can be surprising, as you may have seen. I'm sure she must be very taken with you, sir." She nodded, dipping a light curtsey as they stopped outside the library doors. "The library, sir. I wish you luck." She nodded.

Glancing over her expression, gaging how well she believed him. It seemed so, he was pleased. More so by her reply. Surprising was a word, infuriating was more like it though. He didn't wholly reply more so than a half-laugh-mhm. "Thank you." He grinned at her, bowing back slightly as he opened up the door. An apprehensive approach took over when She came into sight. "What was that?" He asked, less than excited.

Ariadne stared at her book without seeing it as she heard voices outside. She tilted her head to the door as it opened, smiling at the elf that entered. "That's no way to address the woman you're going to court." She said lightly, her words friendly. "But I'll let it pass. What was what?" She asked innocently, staying stretched out on her window seat, closing the book propped open on her lap. "Come closer, Leafling. You're so far." She added, beckoning him with a gentle smile.

"My apologies, Madame." The elf glared at her, a sharp tone he was trying to make sound warm which was not possible. He inched closer, she was playing him and he didn't like it. Clenching his jaw, he accused. "I strongly doubt that you want to court me." Walking right up to the foot of her seat, arms crossed. For once his face was displeased and unfavorable.

"I'll forgive you for now. Next time, I might make you beg." Ariadne shrugged, inspecting her nails and fixing them as he came closer. She looked up when he reached her daybed, tilting her head with a simple, amused smile. "You certainly don't think so little of yourself. You're quite the specimen. I'm just saying you could be my specimen. I offer many things to your benefit- but if you refuse, and we have to do this the ugly way, that's also fine." She shrugged nonchalantly, reached up to brush her fingers lightly down his arm. "You can court me, and I can protect you, or you can refuse, and I'll have you tried for that treason charge we spoke of earlier. Whichever you prefer." She said lightly.

He nearly sneered, keeping composure merely because at the moment, the sound of her voice angered him. In what world could she make him beg in any way that mattered? He shifted his weight between his feet. A slightly confused look on his face grew, averting his eyes. Her tone, and words made something click. This was definitely manipulation because she definitely was making him feel a little shameful for being so harsh. At her ..proposition? Blackmail? Whatever it was, he continued staring, but left little room to breathe before he answered. "Okay." And then his eyes raised to meet hers. "When is our first date?"

Ariadne smiled at him as he contemplated, tilting her head and definite surprise as he went down without a fight. She settled her hand back on her lap and blinked up at him for a few moments. "I was hoping you would choose that. You might be smarter than I expected." She hummed pleasantly, thinking for a moment. "Forward, as well? Lovely. Tonight, directly after dinner. I'll meet you in the Grand Hall." She said simply, stretching out and closing her eyes to enjoy the sun. "Until then, you are free to go." She said simply, the statement practically challenging him to ask her questions.

He shuffled with discomfort, she spoke so ..haughty. She was so sure of her decision. He narrowed his eyes, now unsure of his own. he simply watched her, his face returning to that even expression, despite her jabs. His head tipped as she gave absolutely no details and then it sounded like she was just gonna dismiss him? "It will be a suprise? What a mystery, My Lady." He uncrossed his arms and walked toward the door. His head aimed at the ground, he didn't know what to think yet.

"Well, if I tell you outright, you'll have no reason to think of me all day. Now you can wonder about me and my plans to your hearts extent." Ariadne said, something like sarcasm lilting her words and she waved him off, almost boredly. She let him walk away a few steps before she spoke. "Oh, and Leafling, dear- this conversation stays between us, yes?" She asked lazily, tilting her head to peer at him through predatory yellow eyes.
