Raptor awoke slowly, pain everywhere. He heard voices and bolted upright, his eyes wild with fear. He saw Blaze. "Run" he said hoarsely, his voice ragged and torn. He stumbled, limping into a slow canter. You could tell it pained him considerably. He ran as fast as he could... till they got to the big rock. The humans territory stopped a while back... they should be fine. He gasped for air... his shoulder hurt terribly. The cotton had fallen out and it was bleeding again. He thought about what happened... first electrocuted then shot then torn up by brambles, with a lot of extra bruises cuts and scrapes in the middle. He looked at Blaze, his eyes sunken in his head from no food and sickness. He then looked at the mares. "Good... job... for getting them... away..." he murmured, his voice raspy. He coughed.

She stood next to him, for him to lean against her. The blood got on a patch of white fur on her shoulder. ''Thanks... You- you need help''

"I'll be fine.." he rasped, laying down with shaking legs. "I need... rest"

"Okay..." She was worried about him. She went to check on the others. "Are y'all okay?" She asked, walking to Millie

Raptor took a deep breath and stood up, hoping his vision cleared. It did, slowly. He followed Blaze and saw her sister. Raptor flicked his ears, observing the mare and trying to keep his mind of the fact he was SHOT

Blaze made sure the other horses weren't hurt. She saw a sandy dun coloured mare laying on the ground, breathing heavily. She trotted up to the mare, realizing that she was going about to give birth. The mare was young, and had never foaled before. Blaze asked a few mares if they could help her, and one, an older white mare could. The white mare helped the dun get through her birth, and the foal was a beautiful light bay filly. Blaze sighed. "Great. Now it's gonna be harder to travel home" she muttered.

Raptor followed, and saw the mare give birth. He heard Blaze's comment and whispered, "Its not you who has to take care of them, silly. You shouldn't be the one worrying." He looked slightly tired, but raised his head. He had already healed very well, and was feeling better. "Plus there's only 8 mares. It's no time so bad."

"Yeah... I don't know though... Do we bring them back to their herds or let them find their family's alone?" She asked, turning to face Raptor.

"They can find their own herds, or choose to stay with me... yes that was an offer to watch any mares who think they can't get home, or don't want to go home. I need to be useful for something other than sitting around on my territory." He smiled slightly
