| Arabians, mine have all been pretty hardy, and have lived into their 30's, except for one that had a bad accident in icy weather. My last Arabian was still in light work at 32! QH and most other stock breeds also have some pretty extreme health issues if people aren't careful about breeding, HYPP, and the skin thing....and others. Drafts have PSSM and others.... Applies to all breeds. Yes, some breeds with smaller population numbers have higher risks, but with genetic testing and being careful to avoid too high of kinship percentages and inbreeding coefficients, Friesians are making progress. But ya gotta watch what you're getting with any of them, and other breeds too |

| Ari For a pleasure horse maybe, but shinner is a cutting horse! So not only does he stick out being cremello he's a giant compared to our competition lol |

| Or any horse, really. Never know when one day the walking vet bill will pop up. Even some of the pleasure horses at the barn went bad after a bit, beyond their lope that already looks painful |

| My mare is about 17”1 I am 5’10 so I prefer bigger horses. She is an ex showjumper :D |
