Sage chuckled and pecked the girl's cheek with a happy hum. "good," he chirped happily. The rest of their honeymoon was well spent, and he enjoyed it a lot. A grin still split his face though, when he saw Charlie reach for him, and it grew wider when he heard her squeal. He still felt very, very happy her first word was 'dada'. He'd definitely always remember that. He scooped her up happily and spun her around for a moment before pressing a kiss to the side of her head saying "hey there baby girl. How was grandpa's?" to the girl.

Charlie laughed happily "She had fun." Lance chuckled happily "I may have spoiled her quite a bit..." he admitted sheepishly "She's got a bunch of new toys in her room and new stuffies of course." he chuckled "We had tons of fun though, went to the park and everything, she had fun at the retirement home do some odd jobs at the older folks there enjoyed having a little one around for sure." he chuckled. Sage chuckled and shrugged slightly, propping the little girl up on his hip and using one arm to hold her and the other hand to brush some hair from his daughters face before grasping her gently again. "Well, sounds like you had fun," he hummed. "Maybe Max and I should leave more often," he noted with amusement, really just joking around. They wouldn't be leaving again any time soon, especially if Max got pregnant again. "What is it with you old people liking the babies," he chuckled, teasing Lance lightly.

Lance chuckled "They make us feel young." he smirked playfully ruffling a hand through his granddaughter's hair and kissing her forehead "I'll see you soon sweet pea." he said happily giving his daughter a hug and his son in-law a clap on the back before he headed off back home "Bye dad! thanks again!" she chirped happily looking at her husband "Lets go inside." she said happily.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "well she makes me feel old," he playfully complained before nodding in response to Max's suggestion and following along beside her into the house. It was definitely good to be back ..there were still suitcases laying around, but it was home. And that was nice.

Max smiled and flopped onto the couch "It feels so good to be home." she chuckled happily "I loved out little vacation but I'm so happy to be back home." she smiled looking up at her husband "The only thing I don't like is that we have to be adults again... damn it..." she teased.

Sage chuckled and nodded, sitting down on the couch with Charlie happily. "Adulting is hard," he agreed. "but I suppose it comes with it's rewards," he hummed, looking down at little Charlie, who'd found the strings on his pants and was happily playing with them.

Maxine smiled at that "Yeah" she said gently looking at her daughter and giggling as she messed with her fathers pants strings "She'll make a great big sister I bet." she smiled looking up at him and cuddling close with a gentle sigh.

Sage chuckled and nodded happily, slipping an arm around his wife and keeping one around his daughter to make sure she stayed safe and in his lap. "She absolutely will," he hummed happily. "If you aren't pregnant after that, I'm not sure you ever will be," he chuckled, teasing the girl slightly.

Maxine chuckled lightly though she slowed down as that thought sunk in... what if she couldn't have anymore kids? she wondered she wouldn't be surprised after everything if she were honest but she'd be disappointed for sure.
