"Ah, it tastes better now." He mused, taking another sip.

Noah raised a brow, but shrugged and took a bite of his apple.

"I meant like, right now. At this time, doesn't taste any better, still feels like fire. Average whiskey," He said lightly pouring a smidge more.

Noah chuckled and sat down on the couch.

When Noah sat out came Rocky, flying and launching himself onto him before snapping at the apple. "Rocky! Down!" Max called, the doberman, snapping his head over before hopping down and sitting down right beside Max, who then walked into his study to get started on work.

Noah smiled and chuckled, yanking the apple away, out of the dogs grasp. Noah pet the dog once he'd mellowed down.

Rocky snapped for the apple once more before simmering down, barking once and growling as he heard somebody pull into the driveway. "Oh shut it, we all know you won't do crap. You'll try to give them a teddy bear or something," Max called, the door opening and Emery walking in. Rocky trotted over before being all gentle around her as she set a few bags on the counter, eyeing Noah and beaming. "Hey, how'd you sleep?" She asked happily, picking up Rocky as though he was a lap dog.

"Pretty good," Noah replied, smiling over his shoulder at her.

"Well that's good, you doing alright here?" She asks, banging into Max's study. "Do you know if Kelvin called?" Emery asked, bringin up her step-dad. "My dad? Oh, nah. He uh....I wouldn't know, cut contact a year back." Max called, Emery just nodding. "Well let me know if he does call in,"

Once the two had fallen silent, Noah spoke up. "Can you bring me to CVS for my meds?"
