Sage hummed softly in thought in response to her comment, nodding along. "I don't know what the right word would be," he admitted. "But I'd been ready to give up. If I hadn't had Liz, I would have." He shrugged. "I took a chance with you... And I gotta say, it turned out pretty well for me," he added, a grin forming on his face again as he moved to peck her cheek.

"If you hadn't climbed through my window I would've ran off on my own, no knowledge how to survive, no shelter, just me and my thoughts. Decided to risk it and run off with you, best choice I ever made." She murmured softly, fisting her hand in the front of his shirt as she pulled him to her, kissing him hard before pulling away a moment later. "Guess we both need eachother, huh?"

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, nodding along in agreement. He'd opened his mouth to respond, but then she'd pulled him into the kiss, and all he managed to get out was a squeak. He kissed her back though, moving to sort of cup her face with his hands as he was pulled against her. "I think that's a very fair statement," he murmured once the kids had ended, lingering close to her face until she'd pulled away again. "Maybe this will all be for the better, once we're back at the castle."

"I hope so," She murmured, reaching up and placing her hand atop his on her cheek. "We get in there, one of my brothers will get the throne, so many people will be saved. Those who were exiled for reasons with no evidence, such as Dorian, all of those who are struggling financially, the homeless, all of those people will get help."

Sage smiled softly at her when she mentioned that she wanted to help the citizens who were poor or had been cast aside by the current ruler of the country. "That would be a good idea," he noted, moving to take the hand shed placed on his and lace his fingers around hers. "We'll have our own room too, for once," he added with a laugh. "That is, unless you'd rather us stay in separate rooms at night," he added, not wanting to push her. But he liked curling up with her overnight.

She chuckled softly when he mentioned them finally having their own room, squeezing his hand softly. "I'd rather stay with you, I enjoy the company, if you can't tell." Elara mused, remembering Liz. "Liz would probably need to be near us, just in case anything happens."

Sage hummed softly in agreement to her comments. "Good," he mused. "I like having someone to cuddle with at night," he admitted with a soft laugh. "Your old room had a joint room connected to it... We could put liz there, do she's close but we also have some privacy," he thought out loud.

Elara smiled up at him, though she raised a brow when he spoke of the joint room, chuckling once in confusion. "'Joint room'? What joint room? How did you learn all that in a few minutes, and I lived there for years and never knew of it?" She asked, laughing lightly.

Sage wrinkled his nose slightly at her comment. "I snuck around your castle more than you, apparently," he noted with a small chuckle. "Besides, when I was in your room I managed to see the door. It was different than your closet one, and didn't look like it was used very much," he reasoned. "Plus there's the way the windows were....it made sense so I guess I just assumed it was like that," he admitted.

She rolled her eyes lightly, smirking up at him. "Please, I was outside of that place any chance I got, couldn't tell you where half the rooms are." Elara mused, honestly impressed by how much detail he had taken in within the few minutes he was in there before she shooed him out, reaching up and brushing a streak of dirt off his cheek.
