Sage nodded, offering her a soft smile as she pecked his cheek. "Anything for you," he chirped lightly. Then he chuckled softly. "Besides, it is literally my job to do that sort of thing," he noted with fond amusement. If a war came, it would affect them too. He wanted to avoid that.

Elara smiled softly when he said 'anything for you', noting she'd made the right decision all those months ago to run off with him. "It'll be a fun night, or at least, i'll try and make it fun." The woman said smoothly

Sage hummed softly with a nod. "It'll be eventful, at least," he murmured. "I'll try to avoid guards but sometimes things happen. Alarms night go off, that sort of thing," he noted with a shrug. "And we'd really only get one shot at this." If they failed ...if he failed ....the castle would shut down. The king would be heavily guarded. It would be nearly impossible to go again.

She sighed, frowning slightly at the thought. "And I wouldn't be able to disguise myself since the dogs know my scent, besides, the knights have them reminded of it everyday." Elara muttered, trying to come up with a solution to all the problems swirling around in her head. It seemed too loud, too much. The sound stopped when she looked at him. Gone. Completely silent. The woman glanced away from Sage, all the noise coming back as she chewed the inside of her cheek in thought.

Sage nodded with a sigh, thinking about it. "I don't know if they know mine or not," he admitted. "I was only there for a few days." He wrinkled his nose slightly. "But I don't plan on going near them." He just shook his head after a moment, trying to quiet his thoughts. "Well, no use worrying now. We won't need to act for a while," he noted after a few seconds of quiet.

Elara just nodded, walking over to their bed and sitting on the edge of it, resting her head in her hands as she spiraled deeper. She pushed the thought aside, slipping her eyes shut for a moment as she grounded herself. Breathe, it's not for a long time. Enjoy the peace while it lasts. The woman thought, opening her eyes once more.

Sage could tell she was only working herself up thinking about it, so he shifted from putting things away to moving over to where she was sitting and plopping down beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist and dragging her over as he flopped into the mattress with a sigh. "We'll be alright," he mused softly.

She resisted for a moment, giving in and curling into his side, half slinging a leg over him as she flopped an arm across his chest. Elara sighed softly, pecking his cheek. "I sure hope so," The woman murmured, resting against him once more.

Sage felt a smile flicker over his face when she curled in, offering her a smile when she kissed his cheek. "It'll work out," he promised. "I've never failed a job like this before.... And now I have even more to fight for," her mused. "We all do."

"Wouldn't doubt you ever have, don't think you ever will, either." She noted, letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding as Varys trotted in through the door, walking over to Liz before busying her.
