"I think my water just broke..." She panted

Sage certainly hadn't expected that answer, so he sort of just froze, jaw dropping. Though, after a moment he moved to set the paint down and run for the keys, moving to scoop her up and head to the car. "Then we're going to the doctors," he noted, not wanting anything to happen.

Amira was silent, her pain slowly rising

Sage just drove silently but quickly, knuckles white on the steering wheel. They got to the hospital soon enough, placing her in a room. He was excited, but also nervous.

Amira, now fully panting, already had a clammy head and back. "Alright ma'am, push on the count of 3. 1...2...3" ~ Amira held her and Sage's small daughter with a tired smile. She really had her. Here. In her arms. She was sweaty and tired and in pain, but she was holding their daughter.

Sage sort of just lingered next to her bed, holding her hand. He was tired too, after the long night, but it was all worth it. He had a little girl. He couldn't be happier

Amira couldn't take her eyes off of their daughter, already having the hospital nameband of "Liz Acker" on her tiny wrist. Amira looked at Sage with a tired smile. She silently offered Liz to him for the first time, gently lifting the small baby in the direction of Sage.

Sage reached for the baby with a grin, taking her gently from Amira, already totally head over heels.

Amira sighed and settled down a bit now that she didn't have the tiny human in her arms. She smiled adoringly at Sage as he held their daughter with happiness written all over his features

Sage just moved to slowly sit down next to Amira, on the edge of the bed, overwhelmed with happiness. "Why don't you get some rest," he suggested to her quietly. "I'll make sure the baby's alright," he added
