Emery stayed single, still living with Max before showing up to their old dorm and seeing nobody was there, shrugging before getting all of her things and writing a note to Noah. Sorry Was all it said, her heading back to Max's place.

Rowan and Noah woke together the next morning. They lazed around in bed for a bit before they both got up. Rowan entered the kitchen first, seeing the note. He rolled his eyes and crumpled it up, throwing it away. "What was that?" Noah asked. "Nothing," Rowan shrugged. Noah shrugged it off and grabbed his meds, filling up a glass of water. "What are those for?" Rowan asked, leaning on the counter. "Uh- they're my anti-depression meds," Noah explained. Rowan made a face. "Oh, cmon, you don't need those. They don't actually do anything," Rowan snatched his meds and threw them away. Noah didn't even have a chance to open his mouth. "Just man-up. You'll be fine," Rowan patted Noahs shoulder. Noah just nodded slowly. "...Yeah..."

"Morning," Emery greeted, walking downstairs and seeing Max wasn't awake, bangign into his room t get him up as it was almost noon. Max barely had time to process she was there, Emery shreiking and turning away. "Max! That's disgusting!" She exclaimed, quickly shutting the door and wiping the image from her face. Max eventually got dressed again and walked the woman out, Emery just looking at him in disgust as he did.

Noah became more and more depressed as time went on without his medication. Rowan was getting very angry too. Noah didn't like having relations with him anymore either. He wasn't only possessive now, but violent and too rough, even when Noah begged for him to stop. Rowan had also started hitting Noah whenever he did something wrong, or something Rowan didn't like, to the point were Noah had to wear long pants and hoodies to cover up the marks and bruises.

Emery kept thinking of Noah, Max helping her through it as she had to put him behind her.

One summer afternoon, the two of them were walking in the park. Noah, of course, was wearing a big hoodie and baggy jeans, even in the August heat. Rowan was ordering food at a food truck. Once the cashier had got Rowans order, she turned to Noah. "And what would you like?" she asked. "Nothing, thank you," Rowan interrupted. Noah opened his mouth to protest, but Rowan interrupted again. "I'm not paying for you, you should've brought your own money," Rowan muttered. Noah just looked at his feet. Once he had his food, the two of them walked over to a bench, facing the lake. Noah stared at his hands. "...Rowan? Can I take a bite?" Noah asked timidly. "No," Rowan replied taking a bite for himself. "Please? I didn't eat-" "I said no!" Rowan interrupted, slapping Noah across the face. Noah shied away, putting his head back down. "Sorry..."

Emery was walking in the park with Max and his doberman, Rocky. She saw the scene, handing Rocky to Max as she walked over and relized it was Noah. The woman turned to Rowan, face slightly furious. "Excuse me, why do you think you can slap him like that?" She asked, meeting Noah's gaze for a few seconds.

Rowan shrugged. "He's my boyfriend. I can do whatever I like to him. Why are you in my business?" Rowan snapped back. Noahs eyes flickered, filling with tears as his breath got shaky. Rowan noticed. "No! Don't cry, be a man!" Rowan yelled at Noah, hitting him again.

Emery kept flicking her gaze to Noah, her face softer at him then at Rowan. Max walked on over to the two, simply just watching it unfold and staying out of it, he reckognized Noah and looked over at him, eyes widening slightly as he smirked before turning to Emery. "And I can tell you now he doesn't want to be treated like that and probably hates you. 'In my buisiness'? I'm simply defending somebody who doesn't want to defend themselves."

"Yeah, whatever," Rowan muttered. A single tear rolled down Noah's cheek and Rowan was livid. "I said no crying!" Rowan yelled and hit Noah again, harder than before. Noah yelped in pain, shaking with fear.
