Rose slowly began to drift off after a couple hours of sitting and watching Tiktok. She shut off her phone and laid down on the couch, quite comfortable

Caden presented his invention under the glow of the lamp,his face beaming.Now,the hard part.He connected the wires to a fake heart,bracing himself.His hand slightly quivered before driving itself into his forearm,making a large cut.Caden winced and smacked his fist on the desk,pain in his tounge.He pulled the invention to his arm,letting the blood trickle into it.

Rose heard the desk's bang and sat up quickly, suddenly on-edge. She sighed, pushing thoughts to the side before she laid back down, unable to sleep

Caden screwed the cap on and wrapped his arm in sterile cloth,not paying attention to it. "Finally,after two years." He muttered,powering it on and watching the lights flicker on,sending the artificial blood to the fake heart. "I-It works!It works!" He exclaimed quietly,a smile finding his face.

Rose got up and went upstairs. She went to grab a pair of shorts and a t-shirt along with one of Caden's sweatshirts before getting dressed. Murphy slept peacefully on his bed as Rose came down the stairs. She pat the dog's head before sitting back down on the couch

"Im gonna be a billionare at nine-teen.Crazy,really." He says to himself,wrapping his arm.Caden's head still throbbed so he took a advil

Rose flipped through some of her old team's instagram stories before getting bored and shutting off her phone

"What will I do with a bilion dollars?Invest in crypto,eh,makes more money so,we'll see." He says,unlocking the door with a -PING!- Caden left the door shut though,walking back to his desk and looking at the old,thick,leather book.

Rose heard the door of Caden's study unlock, but she didn't go to him. She just got up and walked upstairs, turning on a movie

He sighed and sat back in the wooden chair he'd used all these years. "What am I doing with life?Greed?" He cocks his head from side to side. "Yeah,sound about right." Caden says,a twinge of pain in his tone.
