Sage had wandered down to the kitchen to make some coffee ... normally he didn't really drink it, but today he figured he'd need it. It was still pretty early. When he heard Maris voice though, he sort of popped his head out of the room, so he could peer up at her. "In the kitchen," he noted calmly. "It's early.. you should go back to sleep," he added, noting the dazed look she still had on her face. "I just woke up and couldn't fall back asleep," he explained to her, knowing she had been worried. He felt about guilty about it but....he didn't want to wake her, and he was still half asleep himself. He hadn't thought to write a note, though if shed panicked she might not have seen it anyway.

Mari left out a soft breath pf relief when he called up to her. Thank god. Her mind had automatically gone to the worst things she could possibly think of. Had he hurt himself? Nightmares? Hell, had he been taken again? It was all she could think of. The sound of his voice, at least, settled her. God, this was all so stupid. Neither of them should be walking on eggshells because of this, and she was terrified just because he wasn't the first thing she saw when she woke up. "Alright..." she breathed before turning away and back towards their bed to flop down.

Sage felt his shoulders relax when she moved to go back to bed....she did look tired still, so it was good that she was able to go do that, even with him not being there. He did move up to their bedroom eventually though, sitting next to her to aip at the coffee, just so he was there. He figured it would be better for both of them ...and decidedly more comfortable than the wooden chairs in the kitchen.

Mari flopped down in bed tiredly, completely exhausted by this whole thing... it seemed so scary. At any moment Sage could just be gone. That's what had happened - he'd gotten up in the night and all of a sudden he was gone for weeks. It scared her shitless. She was replaying it over and over in her mind, when she figured out something bad must have happened... hell, she'd never forget that. She was replaying the thoughts in her mind until she drifted off again, only really waking up again when she felt Sage drop down next to her. "Are you okay," she whispered softly, kind of turning over to rest her head lightly on his shoulder and trying to settle down again.

When she moved to rest on his shoulder, he sort of just wrapped an arm around her with a soft hum and nod. "Yeah," he noted. "Had a bad dream and woke up, then realized i wasn't going to have time to get back to sleep before the day started," he explained. "Made coffee." He shrugged. "You should relax though," he added softly. She was still clearly tired, and he did feel a bit bad about waking her but....there wasn't much else he could have done to prevent that.

Mari sighed softly when she felt him wrap an arm around her, and kind of moved to press a soft kiss to his collar before settling back down. She just wanted him to be okay... this whole thing was scaring her more than she would have liked. A soft breath of air escaped her after a moment, and soon tried to relax again... she wasn't going to get back to sleep, she knew as much, but she was happy knowing he was around. "I'm relaxed," she mused softly to him, kind of patting his chest after a few moments.

Sage chuckled softly when she mentioned she was relaxed. It was fair enough he supposed....neither of them were going back to sleep any time soon. "Well, there's coffee if you want some," he mused, sort of just squeezing her gently. He knew this and scared her, so it was good that she'd settled down again. They'd have to get used to this normal life again....get used to being able to not get scared the moment something happened. They'd get there, it would just take time
