Sage and just relaxed in the chair, humming softly when she handed him the meds, leaning into her hands as she rubbed his shoulders. That always felt nice....and he supposed he'd been tense for a while now, even if he was relaxing a bit more now that he was home. He nodded though, taking the pills and then carrying Amber up with him, settling her in her own bed before crawling into his and passing out fairly quickly. He was just so comfortable. Relieved. He would have waited for Mari to come in with him before falling asleep, but he didn't really get a chance for that.

Mari found her way upstairs after another half hour, a slight smile crossing her face at the sight of Sage curled up on the bed... he did look more comfortable than his did in the ward cots. She sort of leaned in to peck his cheek after getting changed, then curled up next to him quietly. It had to have been weeks since she'd actually been in the same bed as him, and she knew he'd been feeling a bit... She didn't want to say pathetic, because he wasn't pathetic, but she knew he'd felt that way. So, she just crawled in silently, resting her head on the fleshy part of his chest and curling up quietly with him. She eventually drifted off, just glad to be home.

Sage didn't wake at all through the night. The bed was just so comfortable, and it was so nice to be home, he'd simply crashed. That was it.....he'd just crashed, and stayed that way all night. Which was honestly good for him, he needed the rest, and he was glad for the absence of nightmares. When he woke the next morning, he'd just smiled as he noticed Mari curled up with him. He tightened his hold on her lazily, tucking his nose in her hair and curling in a bit more, closing his eyes again. He'd missed her, more than he could ever express. So itvwas nice to just half drift off again, with her there beside him. As it should be.

Mari slept comfortably through the night, only really shifting slightly when she felt Sage move. It was nice to be home... and she was glad that to be back in her own bed. Their own space, really. That was all she wanted. It was kind of nice being back up in the castle - of course, the situation was anything but nice, but it was good to see the doctor and of course atticus. She was sure Sage would have been happy to see Anya too. She sort of murmured something softly after a little while, probably a kind of greeting, moving to curl up just a little bit more.

Sage was glad to sort of just linger there in that half awake half asleep stage, curled up with Mari like that for a while. He sort of hummed in response to her greeting, not really fully awake enough to respond with actual words quite yet. Apparently, neither was she though since he only caught about half of what she'd tried to say. He knew what she meant though, and just curled in a bit more, burying his nose in her hair . It was just nice to be home. With her. They hadn't really cuddled like this in weeks, and he did miss it.

Mari stayed like that with him for a little while... just curled up with him. She kind of shifted so that her arm flopped over his side, and pressed his lips to his collar in a sleepy kind of kiss. It had been so long since they'd really just spent time together. It was nice being around him like this, though. Having him there just to curl up with. She knew he'd been a bit stressed, knew he'd been worried about it all, and so had she, but things were on the right track now.

Sage felt a smile form on his face when he felt her peck his collar, just nuzzling his nose deeper into her hair, breathing in her scent happily as he pecked the top of her head. "I missed this," he murmured after a moment or so, voice still crackly and heavy with sleep. But it was true, and he knew Mari had missed this as well. But things were going back to normal now. It was a slow process, of course, and he knew there'd still be a bit of worry until the people in charge of this whole kidnapping thing were caught, but in the weeks he'd been out of it there had been no more issues. So the normalcy of life was returning. He really couldn't be happier about it, either.

Mari was still half asleep when she heard his voice, and her response was probably delayed by a good five or so minutes by the time she'd woken up again. She looked up at Sage and offered him a warm but sloppy looking grin before curling right back up. "I missed you. Where have you been?" She complained dramatically, the slightest of chuckles escaping her. It was nice to be in their own room - it was quiet here. There was none of the busy sounds from the castle, and it did seem just... peaceful.

Sage knew she was still mostly asleep, so when she didn't respond right away, it didn't really matter. He wasn't quite ready for a full on conversation yet himself, anyway. When she did speak up again though, he sort of shifted to lean back so her could peer at her, a soft grin lingering on his face. "Trying to not die," he snickered softly, rather amused by it all. "I'm quite glad to be back here though," he added with a sort of yawn.

Mari stifled a yawn when he replied, and kind of shifted where she was laying to get comfortable. "You're like... really bad at that..." she mumbled. It was true enough. He was incredibly bad at 'trying not to die.' She didn't think a single year had passed since they'd met where he wasn't nearly died. It was getting stressful. "I'm glad you're alive," she mumbled. She was getting more and more worried about him as time went on... he already wasn't the beast in terms of health. She pressed her nose into his neck, kind of nuzzling him. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Sage," she whispered softly.
