Kai cruised up a small mountain trail before parking his car. "Ready for bed, baby?" He asked softly, cutting the engine and changing into sweatpants and taking off his shirt. He smiled softly at her, pecking her lips

Lorelei smiled sleepily and nodded, "yeah," she yawned, getting ingredients into the backseat.

He smiled softly, watching her before following her and spooning her as best he could. "My beautiful girl" He murmured in her ear. "I love you"

Lorelei smiled, curling into him. "I love you too," she hunmed softly.

Kai eventually fell asleep

Lorelei fell asleep in his arms, happy and warm.

Kai woke in the middle of the night, terrified from a dream he'd had. He just clutched onto Lorelei gently and stayed awake--protecting her from anyting that may disturb her

Lorelei smiled softly in her sleep as he hugged her tighter. She rolled over to face him, peeking up at him and quickly realized his distress. "Hey, what's wrong, hon?" She whispered to him.

"Nothing." He lied softly. He pressed his lips to her forehead. "Sleep, my love."
