-my dear? Where did he come up with that one?- Quinn thought with a small snort, chuckling slightly as Sage sank. She took a deep breath and swam downward, since Quinn didn't sink as easily as he seemed to. She instead found a rock on the bottom, sitting down near that and pretty much holding onto it so she didn't float back up. The sad thing... she would kind of just hover in the middle. Quinn wasn't buoyant enough to float at the top to breath, and she didn't have enough muscle or bone density to sink all the way to the bottom. She finally just let go and let herself float in the middle, then conserved her breath by not moving

Sage glanced over at the girl as she swam downward, and couldn't help but be amused when she sort of just floated to the middle of the lake and hovered there. He was trying not to laugh, since that wasted oxygen, though his lungs were already starting to feel a bit tight. He could hold his breath a for a good while, and he had the advantage of being able to sink rather than swim and therefore conserve more energy than Quinn, but he still doubted he'd won the particular challenge. Oh well, it was fun anyway....and that's really why he chose to do it.

Oo Sage never said rules. Could Quinn just try to make him laugh? -No, mostly because that would use more oxygen and hurt more than help- Quinn thought, hovering right in the middle of the water. -I need less muscle, I'd rather float- She thought with a slight huff, though she didn't really mean it. It would be helpful in some situations to not float right in the middle of the water, though. Her lungs started to tickle and burn... Quinn knew she had swam around to much. First swimming down, then just letting herself float to wherever. Now the occasional arm stroke to keep her upright.

Sage kept an eye on Quinn at first, though after a bit he soon realized that was a bad idea, since he'd start laughing at something for no reason. The thought itself was amusing, though he still turned away to look at all the fish and whatnot swimming around in the lake. Soon enough though, a few good minutes later, he decided he'd better go up for air before he passed out. He'd figured that's how this would end ...Quinn certainly had much more practice with this he supposed. And she was smaller, so she needed less air too, even if she had swam down at the start. He sighed internally and got up, gasping for air once he reached the surface and turned to look for Quinn.

Quinn giggled as she watched Sage deflate and go to the surface. -I have a feeling for this one, I'm the winner winner and he's the chicken dinner- Quinn thought with a smirk, though after a couple seconds she started to feel dizzy and her lungs were about to burst so she swam up quickly, breaking the surface and gasping for air. "Ah, air, and victory, both of them, are very nice." Quinn wheezed with a cough, though she was grinning

Sage chuckled out a kind of breathy laughed and shook his head in amusement once Quinn broke the surface. He had a wide grin on his face though....he had enjoyed their little competition, even if he had lost. "Ok, ok, you win," he groaned, though his eyes were still glittering. "What would you like your prize to be," he giggled lightly, cocking his head slightly. It really could be anything...and he had to admit, that if she picked their night of 'fun' right then, he wouldn't necessarily mind.

Once Quinn could successfully breath again she took in a deep breath, then looked at Sage as he groaned. Quinn chuckled slightly, flashing a smile. "Practice makes perfect." She chirped happily. As Sage asked his question Quinn let out the breath of air. "Gosh, I almost wish I would have let you win now." She mumbled jokingly. "It's almost more like a punishment to think of something good!" Quinn shook her head with a small snort.

Sage chuckled lightly and flashed a wide grin at the girl. "Well, you can think about it while you hunt me down then," he chirped, swimming for shore happily. Once he was out of the water, he shook himself like a wolf to dry off and then dressed before bounding off into the woods happily. "catch me if you can," he called back to her happily. He'd missed this sort of thing, he really had.

Quinn's eyes narrowed in a playful way as she swam out, slipping her shirt back on over her tank top and crossing her arms. "Run run, because you'll never get away." She called back, standing there too give him a couple minutes. Quinn scanned the campground before starting to walk into the woods after 6 minutes of waiting, glancing at the trails. She meandered past trees and stalked under the tall branches where leaves waved, looking for footprints and twigs that had been snapped. Once Quinn found a trail she followed it slowly, her fiery gaze alight with determination.

Sage just chuckled at her comment, glancing back at her before sprinting out of sight. He hadn't gotten to see how his random running around had worked out last time, so that's what he did then. He did stay within a five mile radius though, which was the rule they had set before when they'd done this. Quinn was smart, and knew him well, so any plan she'd probably catch up on. He may not be able to outsmart her, but he definitely had more strength and endurance, which could come in handy.
