Sage let Anya pull him closer, though he wasn't sure that was even possible. He could hear her breathing slow down and even out again, and if she fell asleep again he'd be more than alright with it.. it meant they could lay around here longer. People were probably looking for her, but sage was often out by himself so the fact that he was nowhere to be found wasn't odd . He'd found his own hiding places around the castle where he could escape people for a bit. He rested his forehead against Anyas collar bone with a soft sigh. They could stay here for a while longer. Though, Luther was probably Wondering where they were. Oh well, let him wonder. They could make up excuses later.

It was a little strange to Anya that she found herself pulling him closer to her... she was an affectionate person, for sure, but she wasn't exactly cuddly. Not to the point that she felt like she couldn't get close enough to the other person. She and Sage couldn't get any closer if they tried, and for whatever reason, it wasn't enough for her. How annoying. She lifted her chin and half rested it on top of his head. One of her hands gently shifted to fiddle with his hair, while the other traced shapes along his back in a soothing manner. Her eyes were still closed, as she couldn't quite bring herself to face the daylight, but she was still fighting off sleep. "Don't go back to sleep," she murmured to him softly, though, it sounded like she was trying to convince herself to stay up too. "We'll end up missing dinner," she grumbled, her voice slightly airy. The only reason she said that was mainly because she knew if they slipped back into sleep they'd end up staying there for a few hours at least... they needed to be up and dressed at least a bit before that.

Sage grunted when she spoke and nodded slightly. "I know," he mumbled. He shifted slightly, enjoying her playing with his hair and fingers tracing g lines along his back. He'd figured out that his love language was probably touches.... he figured that Anya had know that for a while now. It had been pretty obvious, but hed barely know what love felt like, so he was a bit clueless up until recently. Though, even if Anya didn't know, she was always gently touching him one way or another....romantic touches or not. It didn't matter really, he enjoyed it all, but the small things like playing with his hair he enjoyed most. Maybe because it almost seemed like she was being a mother figure, which he'd always wanted but never had. He didn't know, but whatever reason caused it, he just knew he liked it. He loved the girl, for sure, and that was probably a lot of it too.

The girl gave a soft smile, shifting a little to press a soft kiss to the top of his head before resting her chin on it again. She wondered if they could do this more... just cuddle wither each other at night. The more they snuck about the higher the chances were that they'd be caught, and she knew that, but it would be worth it. She didn't know how long she'd have with him before he left again, but she could make the most of it, even if it was just being with him when she could. She almost found messing with his hair relaxing... she knew he thought so too, or else he wouldn't let her do it. Sage would always look after her the best he could, to keep her safe, and she knew that. While she couldn't protect him the way he could for her, the least she could do was make him feel safe... like the world was a little less scary. She knew his world was a lot more terrifying than hers... he didn't know if he'd make it through the night out on the streets, and she'd never know what that was like... but she wanted to be there for him the best she could, to be a shoulder to lean on when he couldn't be so brave. Sage was always being strong... and everyone had to break at some point. If he hadn't already, she wanted to be there for him... to be someone he didn't have to be brave for.

Sage let out a long, slow sigh and shifter to a slightly more comfortable position, though he stayed close to Anya. He wasn't going to pull away any little bit...she was a warm, comforting presence, and he knew that she was helping just by being that. She was the reason he was still here, not just because he probably would have died after the weeks of being locked up, but because Lizzie's death had torn him apart. He didn't have something to live for, and he had given up. And he'd told her that....she knew most of what he was thinking. But she'd helped him anyway, not treated him like a monster....and she'd left him that choice at the end. And it was because of her that choice was to keep fighting, even if he was so, so tired of fighting for his life every second of the day. He knew he'd broken, and he was healing, but he was healing slowly, and barely. If something bad happened out there, hed probably break again, this time for good. He hadn't gone back to the lake since he'd told Lizzie bye, and had gone off to die, but then found Anya. Or rather, she'd found him. Either way, he wasn't sure if he could go back. He'd have to at some point, but he didn't know if, or when, he'd be ready. Maybe he should ask Anya to come with him. But what if she freaked out? And did something crazy? He'd been ready to get himself killed...what if he accidentally hurt her? His brow furrowed slightly at the thought and he scolded himself, wishing he could just enjoy the time he had with Anya.

Anya let her breathing slow and deepen slightly, slowly opening her eyes to meet the light. They'd have to get up... save suspicion within the castle from welling. She let herself peel away from him reluctantly, giving a soft yawn before sitting up, holding the covers tightly to herself as the cold air got to her. She kind of watched Sage for a short while before furrowing her brows slightly. She didn't want to get him up, knowing that he was comfortable, but they really did need to get going. She supposed she could let him rest a little while she got ready, then they could find a way to sneak him out. She gave a soft grunt as she slipped out of the bed, padding over to a wardrobe and pulling out another dress and pulling it over her head rather swiftly to hide from the cold... well, and partly from Sage as well. She glanced at him for a moment as she did up the lace in the back. "Hey, when was Lizzie's birthday?" She asked softly as a thought came into her head. "Maybe it'd be nice to go visit... leave something for her?" She asked in a thoughtful, yet still sleepy tone. She knew it was still fresh for Sage... but he couldn't just leave it. It'd surely eat him up... he needed to mourn. Properly, without being kidnapped, hurt, or hurting himself. And she'd be there for him... he just had to say the word and she'd be there for him to lean on when he needed someone to hold him up, a shoulder to cry on if you will... someone who could be brave for him, even if it was emotionally.

Sage groaned and opened his eyes before stretching and rolling off the bed to get dressed. He sat on the floor once done and scrunched his face up, thinking. "I think January sometime. I don't know the exact date...we usually just celeboas best we could whenever I had a few hours off of work," he admitted. He rubbed the back of his neck, which was a bit sore...he still wasn't used to sleeping a bed. Half the time, he fell asleep on the floor of his own room still. Beds were comfortable, but he just wasn't used to them. And he'd have to go back out eventually...he didn't want to get too used to the castle life. He lifted a shoulder in a kind of shrug. He didn't know if he was ready to visit Lizzie....but he also knew he hadn't had time to mourn...he'd just gone blank right away and then been kidnapped and all the rest. Maybe visiting would help, but he didn't want to go alone. He didn't wasn't to snap again...he'd broken but he'd kept fighting anyway ...it was all he knew. But if he snapped again, and he was so close do doing so still, he didn't know what would happen.

Anya turned to look at him with a slightly raised brow. So much has happened since her death, but it would still be so fresh for Sage. She looked thoughtful for a moment before wandering over and kneeling in front of him. "I'm sure we could pick a day out... It'd be nice... we could wrap up and make up a little picnic or something and the day there." She murmured with a gentle smile. She knew it would be difficult for him, but it'd be good for him too. She notice he was a little stiff, so shifted a little so that she was kneeling behind him, kind if massaging the base of his neck. "Actually, I don't think you told me when your birthday was either?" She asked with a slight chuckle. It seemed strange... they had known each other well near a year now, and she still didn't have a clue when his birthday way.

Sage grinned sheepishly. "I don't know when my birthday is," he admitted. "I was never close enough with my parents to ask, and we never celebrated. As much as I can figure it, it was spring sometime." He shrugged and tapped his fingers on his knee, thinking. "Are...are you sure you'd want to come with?" He looked down and bit his bottom lip. "What if I go..crazy..again and hurt you," he asked quietly. His father had killed his mother when he went crazy. He was drunk, yes, but what was the difference between being drunk and crazy and out of your mind crazy? What if he did the same thing, or something similar? He wasn't sure he wanted to risk it. Anya was....well, she was his world now. He hadn't meant for it go get to that, because he'd probably lose her too once he left the castle. But if he hurt her, in any way, he could never forgive himself for it.

Anya gave a short, slightly more inward smile. "Sage, don't ever worry about hurting me. If you flip a switch and go crazy... well, we can deal with that when it comes to it." She murmured softly, slipping her hands from his shoulders to wrapping around his waist, her head resting softly on his back. "But you wont. I doubt you should be alone if you were to do this... i'm more concerned about you hurting yourself than me." It was true... before the cave he... he said he wanted to die. That he was all burnt out, was his words. She could trust that he wasn't on the cusp of getting himself killed anymore, but she wasn't sure if going to see Lizzies grave was something that would trigger him again. What if that made him go back to that stage? No, if he was going to visit, Anya would go with him. To make sure he couldn't do anything to himself. They could make it nice, not quite so scary. She let out a soft breath, holding him a little tighter for a moment. "I'll always be here for you, you know. You don't have to carry tour burdens alone." She murmured quietly. It sounded kind of cheesy, she knew, but she felt like there was so much he wasn't telling her. She wanted him to feel safe around her, like he could tell her anything, weather it'd be about his past or just what was going on in his head, she wanted him to know that nothing he'd say or do would upset her... she wanted to be someone he could unload on. He was a huge part of her world, and she'd so anything ro keep him in it. She thought for a little while, about his birthday. He spent so much of his life just trying to stay alive... birthdays probably weren't something he'd had the time to celebrate, even if it was for himself. She let out a thoughtful hum. "Why don't you pick a day? Any at all. We could make that a day for you... a substitute to your real birthday, if you will."
