Sage grinned over at Mari when she came in with the tray, his interest immediately moving his focus off of her and more towards whatever it was she had on there. "Watcha got," he asked curiously, trying to figure out what exactly she had and what he wanted to eat. It seemed like it had been forever since he'd had her cooking, and he definitely missed it. The doctors goop food wasn't very.....edible. it was good for him but still gross. This was much better.

Mari flashed hima big grin after a moment, then cocked her head thoughtfully. "I have a bit of everything! Fruits, pasta, eggs, theres a little bit of shredded up chicken too if you feel up for it," she hummed, glancing over the maybe... five bowls of food. There had to be something that he'd eat. "I spoke to the doctor about what'd be good for you. He said plain foods, so here we are!"

Sage hummed with a sort of nod, eyeing the foods that she'd brought. There was definitely plenty for him to eat, and it was pretty good at that. "It looks good," he noted, moving to pick at the fruit she'd brought down. It all looked fairly edible ...except for maybe the chicken. That still looked a little greasier than he wanted. But the fruit was good, and he got through that bowl fairly quickly. He would have worked on the pasta too, but he was filled to bursting by then, so he flipped back over with a content sigh. "I'll have the pasta later, yeah," he noted softly, alibet somewhat tiredly by now.

Mari offered him a slightly sheepish smile as he ran over it all... none of it was really 'breakfast' food, but it was things she hoped he could stomach, and of course what would be good for him. She gave a liitle nod when he said he'd have the pasta later, though. "Make sure you have the egg with it," she hummed, patting the top of his head and taking a few plates off him. She set it all on the side before sort of perching on the edge of the bed, just sort of smiling softly at him.

Sage sort of eyed the egg when she spoke, debating whether or not it looked edible enough for him. He relented though, with a tired sigh and nod. "I'll try," he promised. He wasn't sure he'd be able to get it all down but...if she wanted him to try then he'd do it. There was nothing wrong with that. Besides, he knew she'd have been sick with worry about him for....well, ever since he went missing really. So if this would help her stress levels then he'd eat the damn egg. Or ..at least, he'd try to. He shifted so he was just nestled against her side, letting out another sigh. "Wish I could do more than this without needing to pass out again," he grumbled, a scowl crossing his face.

Mari just nodded. He didn't have to eat it all but... well, the egg was probably the best thing for him as of then. Nothing else was very nutritious. She let out a soft breath after a moment, pouting in response. "Passing out is good," she mused lightly after a moment, sort of wrapping an arm around his side and gving him the softest squeeze. "Means your body is trying to heal," she added. She knew he hated this, but it really was good for him... meant he was getting better. He was getting the rest he needed to get back to normal. She ran a hand into his hair, p;laying with a few strands as she cocked her head slightly. "I mean... have you been having any dreams?"

Sage sort of wrinkled his nose in response to her comment, grumbling out a sort of "I guess so". He wasn't upset with her, of course...he just wish he could do more than lay around here. Especially since they didn't know if the house would be ok, or if they'd need money for repairs or ..whatever. At her mention of dream though, he heasitated before deciding she'd find out the truth sooner or later, and gave her a quick jerk of his head in the positive, jaw tightening. "They've been worse," he admitted. "Sometimes I wake up and I can still feel what was happening...." He trailed off and gave her a small smile. "But the drugs help, and most of the time they don't pop in," he added, hoping to give her some semblance of comfort.

Mari gave a soft sigh after a moment, her brows pinching together slightly. She got it. She struggled when she was bed bound too... but he was healing. When he was a bit better he could be back on his feet for a little bit. Maybe in the next week or so she could take him out to get some fresh air. Find somewhere nice to settle down and have a picnic. She sort of moved to give him a soft squeeze, pecking the side of his head in a way she hoped would comfort him. "You won't be stuck for much longer," she hummed softly. Well... as long as he kept on getting better he wouldn't be, at least. She cocked her head when he started speaking, sort of craning her head to look at him. Her head found its way to his jaw, and sort of cocked it up to press a soft kiss to his lips. "At least you're sleeping, I suppose," she sighed before shifting to settle back down next to him. "I'm here if you wanna talk about it, you know." Maybe the information would help them find these people.

Sage just hummed softly when she mentioned he'd be back up on his feet soon. "I hope so," he noted. "Can you find some paper and a pencil? For when I wake up," he asked, cocking his head slightly. He closed his eyes briefly when she pecked him, nodding slightly. "Yeah," he noted softly, not sure he really agreed. He needed to, he knew but....he did hate those dreams. "I know," he noted softly, offering her a smile. "I'm ok I just....it's a lot to process."

Mari pursed her lips before giving a gentle nod. "Of course I can," she murmured. Anything that would help him, really. She just wanted him to be... okay. She wanted to make sure he was comfortable, that he was staying occupied. It had been a little while since he'd delt with any of this - being stuck, and she couldn't imagine how bored he'd be. She gave a soft sigh after a moment, her brows pinched together. "Yeah, I get it," she whispered. "Whe you're ready - or if you even want to, maybe we can help," she added quietly.
