"You sure?" He asked, worry in his eyes for her. "I can't explain how sorry I am, Lorelei..."

Lorelei nodded. She still wanted to go on this road trip, just not over 70mph. "Yeah, I'm sure," she said softly, giving him a small, hesitant smile.

Kai nodded, his lips pressed into a thin line as he drove at a nice 50mph instead. "This okay?" He asked, gesturing to the speedometer

Lorelei smiled and nodded, squeezing his hand, which she was still holding on to. "Thank you," she whispered.

"Anything for you, baby. Say it and it's yours." He said softly

Lorelei smiled, leaning into him.

Kai kept driving, the sun changing places with the moon. "I'm gonna stop for gas just to be safe." He said softly, pulling into a gas station. He stopped the car beside a pump and filled it up before poking his head inside. "Would you like anything, baby? Snacks, drinks, anything?" He asked softly

Lorelei smiled but shook her head. "I'm good, thanks for asking though," she murmured softly. She grabbed a blanket from the backseat, where they'd set up a makeshift bed for the two of them, and cuddled up in the blanket.

Kai nodded and went inside, got two redbulls and some of her favorite snacks anyways. He walked out to the car, popped open her door, placed the snacks and a redbull in her lap, and closed the door. He got in on his side and buckled before pecking her temple. "Just in case, baby." He said, gesturing to the snacks. "I wouldn't want my girl unhappy at all" He added after a second before continuing to drive

Lorelei smiled, pecking his cheek. "Thank you," she hummed softly. She tried curling up and sleeping, but she couldn't get comfortable. She grabbed her pajamas from the backseat, slipping her top over her head and changing into her pajama top and then wriggled out of her bottoms and then slipped those on too.
