Axel heard the emotions behind his words, and peered over at him with a slight frown. "I'm guessing there's a story behind that comment," he noted. He left it open....didn't push, but if Duncan wanted to talk about it, he'd listen. He was quiet for a few minutes before laughing softly, face coloring slightly. "There was one guy I thought was cute...then he turned out to be a spy and tried to kill me," he noted. He found it amusing now....but it was a little embarrassing that he'd even been thinking about the men in his battalion like that at times.

Duncan sighed. "Well, its a long one, and you probably don't want to hear it, so..." he muttered. No one ever wanted to listen to him. His eyes widened. "Shit, well thats a lot worse than anything that ever happened to me," he noted. "You like guys?" he asked.

Axel had just shrugged when he mentioned his story was long. "Not like I have anything better to do with my time," he noted with a slightly amused chuckle. Though, he grunted in agreement when Duncan seemed surprised that had happened. "Looking back in it I probably should have seen it coming. He was....odd," he admitted. Though, at his next comment he nodded. "Grew up with them. Girls are in a separate barrack area across the city," he explained. "They're pretty and all but.. " he shrugged. "I've really only been around guys."

"Well, long story short, my ex was a princess who told the world I was shit at loving anyone and that I couldn't even kiss her cheek after 11 months of dating," he sighed. "People didn't really love me for that one..." he muttered. He cocked his head. "Yeah, I guess that makes sense,"

Axel found his eyebrows raising as Duncan explained the princess. "I'm pretty sure that says more about her than you," he thought out loud. "Sounds like a douchebag for saying all that about you," he added with a slight frown. "I'm sure when you find the right person you won't have any issues with kissing or... anything." He felt something odd rolling in his chest that Duncan seemed to only like women ... something close to disappointment. That was odd. "Yeah," he murmured when Duncan noted that made sense. "If....if that fact makes it weird...feel free to kick me out of your bed," he added after a moment, not wanting him to be uncomfortable at all.

Duncan shook his head. "No, it was my fault. She was kind, patient and gentle, until the end of our relationship. I don't know why I was so awkward..." he sighed. He shook his head. "No, no, no, its fine, really. Just because you like guys doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to sleep like a normal human being,"

|
Axel sighed softly in response to his comment, shaking his head slightly. "I don't know....spreading personal stuff about you wasn't very kind," he pointed out. He felt his shoulders relax slightly when Duncan seemed fine with his relationship choices though, offering him a small smile and nod. Good ...the bed was comfortable.

"No, it wasn't, but it also wasn't false information," he sighed. Duncan offered a small smile. He really didn't mind who or what Axel liked, he was nice and he was human.

|
Axel nodded along, but still, it didn't seem right that she'd done it. "Well...when you find the right person I'm sure it'll work out alright," he mused. "You've got your whole life ahead of you ...it'll happen sooner or later," he added, nudging Duncan's side gently with a grin.

Duncan smiled softly. "Yeah, I guess you're right," he chuckled, nudging him back gently.
