``You`re fine,`` Myra reassured him with a smile once he settled back down. She always liked watching the dynamics between horses and their riders.

Caleb looked at the time. Nearly midnight. He sighed, knowing he needed to drive home tomorrow. "I'm gonna turn in for the night." He said, standing up and throwing away his beer

|
``Alright, sleep well!`` Myra gave him a final smile as she spoke before she stood up. With a final glance in his direction, she turned on her heel and headed back over to where Adonis and her trailer was.

Caleb put out the fire and put the fire ring away before going and heading to bed

She gave Adonis a few more treats before she put him inside the trailer, making sure it was locked. Myra then headed into the truck to sleep again, not acknowledging Lily who was sprawled out in the front and sleeping.

Caleb woke the next morning and tied Splash on the inside of the trailer before checking everything was secure

The following morning, Myra started tending to Adonis while Lily prepared the trailer. Some people had already left the rodeo grounds, which was not surprising; traffic was terrible. She groomed the stallion as he had his breakfast, braiding his mane and tail so it wouldn`t be much of a bother to him throughout the drive. The knowledge that it would take over an hour to get home was annoying to her, especially since driving was not her strong suit.

Caleb walked over to Myra. "Hey, i'm gonna head out. I'll text you later?" He offered before walking to his truck again and getting in.

``Sounds good,`` she replied over her shoulder before she finished preparing Adonis. Myra led the stallion back into the trailer, managing to persuade Lily to take on the responsibility of driving; she liked it more than she did. She settled into the passenger seat and sighed as she relaxed, closing her eyes and tilting her head back. Once Lily had double-checked everything, they started on their way back home.

Caleb drove the short 30 minute drive back home before unloading all of his stuff. He put a blanket onto Splash before turning her out to get some much-needed playtime with her friends. He chuckled, seeing her buck and toss her head playfully at the gelding she shared the pasture with. He put his tack away and walked into the house. He went and took a shower
