Zephyr nodded as he listened. "Okay then, and yes I am as ready as I'll ever be." He commented with a small smile, his dark blue eyes surveying the field for a moment. At her question he grinned. "Um, I THINK so. I know where the bases are. First, second, third, home, from right to left the way I'm facing." He said, standing near the home plate as she walked over. "I mean, I'm 61 percent sure that's correct.." He glanced around again with a small chuckle.

"Correct! Ok. I'll show you how to hold the bat. Are you left handed or right? I'm right handed so if your left then we're in a pickle" Sophia suppressed a giggle. She wasn't doing that again. She was on her guard because of HER mistakes. +prom is in three days... I need to get a dress..!+ Sophia mentally chastised herself. +no. Focus. Softball. Bat. Teach. Go+

(AWW NAWWW poor Zeph gonna have to wear something nice to prom xD) - Zephyr lifted an eyebrow slightly. "Aren't very observant, are you? At lunch what hand was I drawing with?" He teased before holding up his right hand AND his left hand. "Pickle averted, but only because I'm one of those ambidextrous people. Both my hands can do anything the other can, it's just a tiny bit easy with the left since I am left eye dominant." He answered, his mind wandering for a second before darting back.

Lolllll) - "I was trying to make sure your lines were straight!" She chuckled "I know what ambidextrous means silly" she grinned "so you are better left? We'll see if I can teach it left. We'll see... " she grabbed the bat and held it left handed. "This feels weird" she commented before swapping her arms. "This feels right!"

Zephyr grinned at her words. "Okay okay, guilty as charged." He snorted before watching her try to do it left handed. "Thay doesn't seem to be working. Miracle of being both-handed, let's just do it with my right hand." He commented with a small smile. "Won't make much of a difference." He stated before mentally preparing himself to listen and learn.

Sophia smiled. "Ok. First of all. Left hand rests on the bottom while your top hand sits right above or slightly higher depending on your grip and the length of the bat. Now... since this bay is too short for you... well i don't know. " she chuckled then moved his hands to the right position. "Right elbow up, left tucked." Sophia lightly guided his elbow the way they needed to be. She then quickly glanced up at him. "The swing is the hardest part. Let me show you in normal speed then slow motion" she backward. "Watch out" she said before stretching her arms out to make sure she could swing without hitting Zephyr. She pulled her arms in, her elbows and legs correct. Then she swung, a graceful yet blur of a swing. She then slowly went through the swing.

Zephyr grabbed the bat sort of how she side, trying to keep his hands in the correct positions. He tensed slightly as she adjusted his hands, but he calmed himself down quickly. No reason to get uptight. He focused instead on where his hands had to go. He adjusted his elbows before stepping back as she did, watching her swings carefully. "That seems complicated, but hey, everything is possible." He smiled slightly before trying to memorize the feeling of holding the bat correctly.

Sophia smiled "yep! Everything. Maybe I'll actually be able to shoot a basketball eventually. But right now, we're batting. "She turned, grabbing a ball and holding it up. She grabbed the end of the bat and lowered it until it was halfway down. "This is where it hits" she clinked the ball against the bat.

Zephyr chuckled- yeah, he bet she would if she tried a little harder. He bet in 2 weeks she could be a pro at it. After his brain had wandered off he dragged it back, studying where she put the bat. "Why so low? Is it to get more height?" He questioned. That would make sense, in a way- if you hit it near your ear the ball wouldnt go far at all- it might even go down.

"It's jest because your so tall. Sorry. This so where I usually hold it. "She raised the bay until his arms were fully extended. "Here we go. Gotta raise it higher for you" Sophia grinned. "You ready? I'm going to squat so you don't hit the crap out of me. Try swinging a few times to get the feeling of it"
