Now he was looking up, hearing the daughter speak. Her rant was as amusing to him as her brother. His laughter was quiet but not unnoticed, falling into quietness with his meal. Expecting notjing more to come of it. Fortunately Larach too found Ariadne's sudden- for lack of better word- spiraling quite the topic. He was a fan of the culture, so many women spoke out, he enjoyed their voices. The younger elf did look up to check on his superior, just to make sure it was okay to have been laughing, quickly and discreetly while he took another bite of breakfast.

Ariadne offered Vance a light smile, her gaze flicking to the young elf and then the older one, pleased that she had been amusing. Then, a lovely, spiteful idea popped in her head. "Actually..." She tilted her head innocently at the younger elf, offering him a small, slightly abashed smile. "While we are on the topic of courting, it would be a lie for me to say no one has caught my eye. One has, in fact." She said calmly. Her mother and father exchanged a quiet but eager look, and Vance was speechless. "I've come to quite enjoy the accompaniment of your young delegation member, Larach. Officially or unofficially, it would be a pleasure to spend more time with him." She said, using a calm, slightly shy tone of voice and smiling in a false nervous way at the Elf. "Speaking of spending more time with you all, I don't think we, as a family, could send you all home in the midst of a thunderstorm. You must stay at least until it clears. In the mean time, you could perhaps consider my offer." She finished cheerily, smiling innocently at the dropped jaws all around the table, making sinister eye contact with the victim of her attack.

Looking up, intently as she admitted she wasn't hugely truthful. Anticipation built as it seemed like she was coyly avoiding who it was. He didn't want to seem too interested though and quickly took another bite. And quickly started choking on it as she threw news out on the table. That even he was unaware of. He turned away. From the table, recovering quickly. His face midly red. He cleared his throat. Attempting to be composed as she continued and just up and invited them to stay another day. AND THEN offer to what- date him? Is that how that worked? He was effectively taken aback. Larach covered for his stunned silence. L "Thank you, I guess we'll have to stay now. I'm glad you get along so well." He smiled, the younger elf did too during his attempt to not look like this was the first he'd heard of it too. "Sounds great." He agreed politely.

Ariadne tilted her head in mock concern as her newest courtier started effectively choking. She had to refrain from laughing about it and didn't take too much offense. Watching his reaction was more than enough. She nodded easily again at their confirmation, moving to stand while her family stared at her like she had grown a bouquet out of her eyes. "Lovely. I have some things to attend to, but it's been lovely dining with you all. Should you need be, I'll be in my room." She said lightly, dipping a small curtsey to the younger elf whom she was, essentially, going to court. With that, she turned and made her way into the hall.

Larach bowed to her, a faint smile. Left only to wonder how mutual the bonding was. However his companion resembled an unsettled damp cat. L "Oh with that news, if you're finished eating I could use some things unpacked again." Knowing full and well he didn't pack anything yet. He nodded and rose to his feet, bowing at the vampires, a quiet thanks. He pushed his chair back in and walked out. He bit his lip in a more frustrated manner while he walked to Larach's room. Where he found the unpacked things strewn around his room, he rolled his eyes and left. Wanting to find her he glanced around the hallway, he didn't know what she was doing and couldn't remember where exactly her room was. He leaned on his door for a moment before an idea popped into his head. He stepped into his room, buzzing the thing that called a servant- which he still didn't know how that worked.

Ariadne didn't change, but rather stared out the window in her room for a few minutes while thinking through her thrown-together plan. When she felt it was foolproof enough, she made her way to the library on light feet, hiding briefly in the shadows of the hall to avoid Vance. He, being the lovely oblivious man he was, didn't notice. She continued on her way and settled at the seat beside the only window within the library, which was large and had bookshelves surrounding it on all sides; minus beneath it, where a cushioned day bed sat. She picked up a random book and curled up, flipping idly through the pages, really just... biding her time. At the ring of the bell, a maid made her way up to his room. As he had tugged the rope, it rang a bell corresponding to that room. She was there within a minute, knocking quietly on his door.

Sitting on the floor, still choked with embarrassment when the he heard the maid. He stood up and opened the door and smiled slightly. "Ah, hello, sorry to bother but do you think you could get me another blanket or two?" He requested quietly. He felt a little ..exposed honestly even if it wasn't true and was entirely his fault. What kind of revenge is that. Swiftly deciding women are confusing and just a little bit scary with power.

The maid offered him a simple bow and nodded. "Of course, sir." She said, watching him with indifference and a bit of curiousity before she turned and walked down the hall, returning a minute or so later with a large quilt slung over her arm and a thinner blanket over that. She set the folded bundle in his arms and dipped he rhead as a sign of respect. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" She asked lightly. Ariadne was torn between having him summoned to meet with her, waiting for him to seek her out, and going to him. All three had their perks, and the longer she waited, the more confused he was sure to be. Which wasn't the worst of side effects to be had, in her mind.

He stood against the door frame with his foot propped out against the door, pushing it backwards when it his sole. Staring blankly in thought. Mainly wondering what she thought this would benefit her by, of course he started to wonder how courting across two different kingdoms would be when neither had a situated living area in the other's land. He pursed his lips, but pulled out of thought when the girl came back with blankets. "Thank you so much." He paused, adjusting the fabric over his arms. "Do- would you happen to know where I could find Lady Arl-arrr..ee-adne?" Her name came out with great trouble, something about how he rolled his rs seem didn't match up but he tried anyway, a gentle smile. (Honestly just a little want him to have the servants thinking something happened last night because who doesn't love rumors as a dirty trick)

The little trying for her name is so cute I'm gonna cry)) The maid watched him certainly piqued interest as he tried and failed to pronounce her Lady's name, forcing down a smile. Now, he made sense. Seems the house would be getting a nice tidbit of drama for the night. "Of course, sir. She's in the library. Would you like me to guide you there?" She asked simply, waiting for him to do something else that might reveal more about their situation. Gossip was equivalent to gold in the halls of Thorne manor. ((Heheheh rumors are the best, of course))
