•°˜---X---˜°• Adrien smiled at her. "It's okay. I'm fine." He said, sitting crisscross instead and smiling weakly, his smile wavering. His hands were shaking so he tucked them under his legs. He was not going to cry, he was not going to be weak, he was fine. "I promise! It's alright, you were tired and that-..." He trailed off, his eyes unfocused for a moment before he jolted and they went back to Frynns'. "It wasn't fun, so really! It's fine. You were exhausted." He tried to reassure. Despite feeling like a zombie himself. Edited at May 19, 2024 04:32 PM by Oakwood Barn

Frynn glanced up, her dark blue eyes meeting his, unbelieving. "You do remember I am an Empath, correct?" She asked quietly, opening the slightest bit of her power to feel a crash of exhaustion and pain from Adrien. "You're not fine. It's not alright. Is there anything I can do to help? Also, don't fall asleep, PLEASE. It's a bad idea." She stated, her voice a little more clear, a little more steady. "Please tell me if I can help." She repeated, more quietly, her eyes darting to the ground before flitting back up.

•°˜---X---˜°• Adrien stared at her for a long moment before standing, and almost falling over. He grabbed a wall to steady himself and smiled weakly again. "I should go back to my cabin, sorry for intruding." He said quickly, limping out, since his knees still hurt. He got back to his cabin and sat down on his bed, curling into a ball. He pulled a pillow closer and buried his head in it. "Father said we don't cry." He murmured to himself, keeping his ability up to hold his tears back.

Frynn opened her mouth to protest, her eyes saddening slightly. "Don't take it too hard..." she mumbled, her head dropping. After he left, she stood and walked to the kitchen, grabbing some food before going to her bed, curling up in it. "Why is my life so complicated?" She whispered, staring at the ceiling, her eyes shimmering with tears, yet none leaked out. "I just want a friend, and a normal life. Why is that so hard?" Her words sounded heartbroken, and she was. She clutched the blankets, pulling them up to her chest. "Poor Adrien..." were her last words before she blacked out again, the whole world darkening.

•°˜---X---˜°• Adrien sat in silence in his bed, his lip quivering. He gulped as he blinked and his eyes turned black, maxing out that ability while using another. He quickly became to overwhelmed, and to exhausted, and he blacked out again.

After a long while, Frynn awoke, her eyelids fluttering. She blinked and pushed herself up, sore and still with a killer headache. She rubbed her face and climbed out of bed, walking slowly to the kitchen. She combed her fingers through her hair, exiting the cabin and heading towards the barn. She needed to see Katana. After she found the mare, she wrapped her arms around their neck, not letting the tears leak out that wanted to.

Phantom whinned to her. -Frynn, dear, could you possibly check on the foal? He's right next to me. He seems to be hungry, he's standing alright though.- She nickered politely. Adrien was still unconscious in bed, curled around a pillow.

Frynn looked sideways as the mare spoke. "The foal! Yes!" She exclaimed. "Thank you." She shot a grateful look at Phantom before exiting Katana's stall and hauling a bucket of water, first, the the foals stall. It nickered weakly, lowering its head to suck up the liquid. She then prepared a milky mash, offering it to the foal.

Phantom nodded her head and peeked her head out of the door, pushing it open and walking over to stand behind Frynn, watching her help the foal. -have you seen Adrien? He was falling down last night.- She asked, worriedly. As he ears stayed pinned slightly.

Frynn carefully fed the foal. Thankfully it was weaned, so it didn't need milk, but she was still careful to not feed it hard pellets, or too much. Glancing over at Phantom as the mare spoke, her eyebrows furrowed worriedly. "I haven't. He just keeps pushing me away when I try to help- I don't know what to do anymore." She sighed heavily. The foal stopped eating and slowly laid down, obviously sleepy. "I should go check on him..." she mumbled.
