Wesley nodded at Ella's words, seeming genuinely happy it started. He wasn't kidding when he said the last time it started was in his teen years. "Get on in, and we can pray it actually moves. Also, thank you, I am surprised someone as knowledgeable as you would ever think my car was impressive." He chuckled, inviting her in before glancing at everything again to make sure he actually remembered how to drive it. -Then again, how could I forget how to drive such a fun machine like this?- He thought with a small smile. Once Ella got in, assuming he did, Wesley shifted the car into 1st gear and crept around the truck. "I didn't hit the vehicle and got out of the barn, that's a plus." He mumbled to himself, getting out on a gravel road that was at the back to the barn. Wesley shifted into 2nd, then 3rd gear and just took it easy on the way there. Soon a small, paved path in a loop came into view with a couple small bleachers and an abandoned hut that might have been for the announcer. "Sorry it's nothing to look at, they only used it for a couple drag races s it didn't have to be pretty." Wesley commented

Ella frowned when he made his first comment, but it quickly turned to a smile. "Believe it or not, I dont just prefer flashy new sports cars right off the production line. In my opinion, in regards to cars, the older the better." She traced her fingers along the back of her other hand and then got in, shutting the door gently. As they headed toward the track, she took in the detail, the sound and feel of the car. It was perfect. She looked up at Wesley as he spoke after they had arrived, and shrugged. "drift tracks that look abandoned are always the most fun. Plus, no one else round to tell you off for it." She smiled, looking at the loop ahead of them. There were some bleachers and a small hut, which definitely added to the fun but eery atmosphere of the track. "i like it." Ella smiled and looked at Wesley for a bit, before averting her eyes back to the track.

Wesley got onto the track, driving slowly around it first to make sure there was no debris in the road or anything he might hit. "Oh I believe it. Older is always better." He answered, then smiled at her second comment. "I would agree. This track is fun." Wesley replied, pulling up for a very faded red line that looked like it was spray-painted on. "I'm going to see how the car reacts in a quick spin." He commented quietly, waiting a moment before pressing the clutch, then the accelorating. The car shot forward with a low rumble, but not too quickly because Wesley didn't really want to fly off the edge of the earth yet. He shifted again and turned around the corners, drifting just slightly, a slight smile growing on his face. It looked like he really enjoyed this, and he was a good driver. The small car drifted effortlessly, and didn't drag or catch at all. The engine still sounded quite good.

Ella could safely say this was the first time she had really enjoyed herself since getting in the car to be taken to the country, and as the car drifted rather effortlessley, she looked at Wesley with a smile. "You're actually good at this, im surprised." Her voice was slightly shaky due to the rumble of the car, but she hoped it came across as a joke. The exhaust itself sounded incredible, and she looked through the wingmirrors to see if she could catch any flames. She didn't, but that was just force of habit. "I always pictured you as a sort of, *i only drive trucks and ride horses* sort of guy. its impressive." she added, a little later on.

Wesley let out a laugh at what Ella said. "Thank you, I'm pleased you think so." He chuckled, coming around for one more lap. This time Wesley went a little faster around the corners and accelerated more after them, feeling the car push him forward then slide swideways in a nice drift. "Well, as I said, this is a remnant of my younger days. I like driving trucks, yes, horses are my job and pretty much my whole world, yes, but cars are still fun when I have the chance. 8 years ago I had the chance, but I haven't had another till you came around." Wesley commented, pushing the car a little faster before stopping on the third lap. "Would you like to give it a spin?" He asked

Ella nodded at his first couple of comments, pretty much agreeing with him. Though she loved both. Her dream as a child had always been to have horses and cars. Guess it was different now. "As a kid I used to daydream about having both mustangs, horse and car. Both black and stuff." She smiled, the images popping up in her head. As he asked if she wanted to drive, she raised her eyebrows. "Are you sure you'd trust me to drive?" She asked, though the excitement was rising. She wanted more than anything to be able to drift, even just drive a car like that again. i couldnt think of anything to write, so i jus added in her daydream which is also what I wanna have xD)

That's fine!)) - Wesley nodded at what Ella said. When she answered, he could hear excitement in her voice and see her glance over like he just offered her wings. "Why wouldn't I? This car's about 100 years old and I'm just about the WORST driver in the world. Have a go." Wesley joked with a cheery smile, getting out and opening her door. "Mind if I sit in the passenger seat?" He asked with a chuckle, gazing around at the waving grass and old grandstands.

"You're definitely not the worst" Ella smiled, nodding at his question about sitting in the passenger seat. She switched seats and waited for him to get in before re-starting the car, starting off at a steady drive. As time went on however, it turned into quite a long drift round the track, and by the time she'd stopped the car she was..slightly out of breath. "im glad you trusted me to do that, it was..fun" she smiled.

"Oh wow, that's a high compliment coming from you. If you talked to any of the cowboys on the farm they would laugh and say I would crash as soon as I got into a car." Wesley snorted, shutting the door. He watched the track go by, impressed with how good Ella actually was. Yes, he did talk like he was horrible and she was amazing, but Wesley had been trained and disciplined since childhood to never say anything negative about a female, to their face or away. He had been whipped so many times for accidentally spitting a spiteful word out at one of the girls at school, even though he had a good cause. By far, Wesley would say, she was the best person he had ever met at using words to hurt somebody. Also, his nature was usually to be nice to most people, so that helped a little. Back to the point, he did like the way Ella drove and enjoyed the lap around the track. Wesley could tell she enjoyed this a lot. For some reason he got to thinking about what happened, from what he knew, with her and that stupid guy... and the fact that she didn't exactly seem to like men in the first place... and he actually felt a bit honored to be just chatting with her and sitting in a car with her. Not that anything was special about it, but Wesley could tell she was usually a bit tense and that all went away when she got in the driver's seat. "Of course, anytime. I'm sure I'll have more freetime when you are here, so whenever you want to do this... as long as I'm not training my colt..." Wesley paused with a grin. "We can."

Ella pulled the car in from the track by habit, almost as if it was a busy track day or something, and turned to look at Welsey with a weak smile. She felt unbelievably relaxed next to him, so much so it was almost scary. It was like they had met ages ago, though it really hadnt been that long at all. She scraped her out her eyes and looked at Wesley with a nod, making sure her tone wasnt too..defensive. "i'd like that. i mean, not too much though, i dont wanna drive you away from the ranch all the time. I cant imagine your friends'll be too happy" she said with a soft laugh, turning herself away as she smiled. She had always hated the way she smiled, the way she laughed and just..anything like that in general. Still, she wasnt sure Wesley would exactly yell out how horrible she looked, right? "Would you wanna go back?" She asked after a little bit, her eyes darting around the track.
