"Okay, I'll just invite a bunch of my parent's friends! Who was that?" Dakota asked looking at him. "Aren't you inviting your parents? I don't care if your dad comes." Dakota smiled. "I just wish my parents could come. But they're not here." Dakota said looking down. She wouldn't have a dad to walk her down the isle. She dicided to ride Athena down the isle.

Jacob said "I am sorry I tried everything I knew" then said " my parents are in town and I have to meet them or my dad would call me" which he didn't want to do that and Jacob said " invite how many people you want I think they would like to see you again"

"I thought your dad hated you being with me? I'll go see him at least." Dakota said. "Is he at your house?" Dakota looked down. She didn't actually want to see him. He killed her parents. He could never do anything to make up for it. She at least hoped he changed a little. His mom has always been pretty nice. She didn't want to talk about it. So she left. Dakota went to get Athena instead. She decided to let Athena swim. She took Athena to the pond behind the barn. Athena jumped around and swam in the pond. When she came out, she shook all the water off. Dakota put her back and went to her secret spot in the hayloft.

Jacob sighed and said " I through so too" Jacob walks outside and looks around before his dad called and Jacob answered saying "what the heck do you want" father said " where the hell are you man" Jacob said "that no you problem old timer" father sighed on the other end and said " son I know you hate me I am trying to change " Jacob laughs and said "you think I hate you , you never wanted to have me so is more that you hate me"

Dakota sat at the top of the hayloft. She was reading her favorite book. Dakota heard Jacob on the phone. She could tell it was his dad. She didn't know what to do. Above the hayloft was a barn attic. Dakota's dad tied a rope to the ceiling so Dakota could climb up. She grabbed the rope and climbed to the attic. Dakota went to the corner and found a box that said "Carrie's Stuff". "Mom's old stuff. I wonder what she put in here." Dakota opened the box and found a lasso, cowboy hat, and a pair of boots. This was all of her mom's things. Here mom used to do barrel racing and rodeos. That explained why she had all this. Dakota put the boots on and took the hat and lasso to the tackroom/office.

Jacob sighed and hangs up looks around and hangs his head low he didn't like when his dad called him but he was right Jacob did hated him very much, Jacob walks back and forth wonding what to do he didn't want to go see them but they were at his house and he had to go back, Jacob looks around for Dakota and sighed where is she he through

Dakota loved the boots. They fit perfectly. She went to the horse's stalls and fed all of them. Athena and Flame ate their food happily. The other two weren't used to this new type of food and looked at it, very confused. Dakota gave all the horses a sugar cube and went back up to the hayloft. She layed down with the book in front of her. Athena nickered, meaning she was all done. Dakota opened the book and picked up where she left off.

Jacob walks back I side and wrote a letter

Dear Babe

I would be back I need to handle my parents, but mostly my dad I think I'll invite my mom to the wedding she love wedding and would be happy to see you, and I am sorry I have to leave without a good bye also I love you and I don't want to let you down.

Jacob walks into the nar and left it on Athena stall door

Dakota finished reading that book and went down to get another. She saw the note and and nodded. Flame was turned away with his head down. "You okay boy? Jacob will be back." Dakota said trying to calm Flame down. He hated it when Jacob left without telling him. Dakota took all the horses one by one, outside to the pasture. They all pranced around. All except Flame. Athena nuzzled him trying to support him, but nothing worked. He wanted Jacob. Athena stood next to him to give him comfort. Dakota went back inside the barn and grabbed a new book. She climbed back into the hayloft and sat down. She opened to the first page. She didn't even get half way before she fell asleep.

Jacob gotten home and hugs his mom and said " I got some great news to tell you" mom smiles and said " what's the news " Jacob said " I am getting married to Dakota "mom sceams and said " I knew it can I come" Jacob nods a yes and she smiles and drags Jacob to the house
