Sage chuckled softly and nodded, wrinkling his nose slightly. "The queen wasn't my biggest fan, but she did her job well," he hummed. "And she did love Anya," he added with a shrug. He wasn't exactly friendly towards the older woman, but she had his respect, he supposed. He hummed softly when she mentioned finding him new friends, thinking about it for a moment before shrugging it off. "I guess I'm just not one to go find many friends," he mused. He'd worked with the guards, and they'd enjoyed each other's company but none of them were his friends. "I'm ok with you and the kids and the animals," he added with a laugh. Though, when she agreed to a vacation, he smiled lightly and nodded. "Ill start planning something out," he chirped.

Mari nodded softly in agreement. She always like the queen - she had a fairly level head, even if she didn't always like everyone. The king was a different story. She was glad he was dead. Fat old man with not a care for anyone but himself. No, he could rot in the ground with the worms. She cocked her head at him after a moment and rolled her eyes softly, pecking the vase of his neck. "Sage, baby, we'll find you some friends," she mused lightly. She'd said the same thing to him years ago, just before Silas was born. Yeah, they didn't didn't have many family friends. Whatever. She smiled when he agreed to plan... something, out though. "Make sure it's somewhere not too far. I don't want to drag the kids on a two day boat ride just to spend s week there," she huffed.

Sage chuckled softly, a grin crossing his face at her peck, just like it always did. "Maybe," he hummed softly. He wasn't opposed to it of course, but he did still struggle to let people in. To trust them. That was something he'd never get rid of, he didn't think. Oh well.....he really didn't mind. He had what he needed here, and he wouldn't change anything about his life here. Though, at Maris comment, he nodded with a sort of grunt of agreement. "I'm not sure a boat could hold them and their energy for that long," he noted with a soft laugh.
