Sage sort of groaned and shifted to sit up, nodding along. "Alright," he noted softly, though a yawn broke his words halfway through. He took the try from her with a thanks, then just worked at eating while he woke up. By the time he'd finished, he was pretty much as awake as he'd ever be, so he moved to runnage around in the closet and find an outfit suitable for the barn before wandering out there, pecking Mari on the cheek on the way out

Mari watched him wander out with a little smile across her face, and sort of grabbed the tray to clear up before wandering off to grab the kids. They met her happily, and she thanked her mother for watching them. It had been needed - a lovely night in and a quiet morning. It was pretty perfect, and again, very needed. They wandered back quietly, her eyes light as they wandered into the house. She gave the kids their lunch before then ran off to the yard to see their dad, and she flopped down on one of the chairs on the poarch with a soft breath of air.

Sage had moved to take care of the horses after a while happily, sort of just wandering around and feeding and watering. The kids had come running in after a while, so he gave them each a small bit of oats and hay and such to give to their ponies and any horses they might want. He figured they couldn't carry a whole bucket, and he'd already fed the animals, but they could have a couple handfuls of gain to feed whoever. The horses certainly didn't mind. Soon enough though it was time for lunch, so he finished up what he was doing and then headed the kids out and back up to the house where he knew Mari would be about ready with lunch.

Mari wandered around the kitchen happily, her eyes dancing as she put a few bits and bobs together. It was a nice day out, so she'd just made something light - a few sandwiches with some salad, and she had some ice creams hidden away for the kids once they'd finished. For her and Sage, too, but she had a feeling he'd want to get back out on the yard. Probabaly. Maybe.

Sage had eventually shooed the kids back down to the house, chuckling softly as he hearly needed to herd them around like sheep. It was an amusing thought. Though, they moved quicker than the sheep he'd ever been around, so maybe it was an unfair comparison. Either way, they'd run into the kitchen after a bit, and he followed, a grin lingering on his face but brightening even more as he greeted Mari happily. He sort of settled the kids down at the table...well, settled them as much as it was possible...and then settled down himself, nodding along to Silas's consistent babble.

Mari looked out the window as she heard the kids happy laughter and their rather spent looking father wandering behind them. She felt a grin cross her face, and moved to pop some plates on the table, pecking Sage on the cheek lightly after she'd handed him a plate, then made herself comfortable next to him. "Horses all good?" She asked lightly, then Silas piped up. "Good! We fed them!" He grinned, and Liz nodded along. Mari smiled lightly, a small chuckle escaping her as she looked back over at Sage, hoping for a more detailed report of the animals.

Sage had settled down happily, chuckling in response to Silas's eager response but nodding along with a sort of hum. "They're good," he agreed. "A couple mares about ready to foal, others should be going into heat soon," he added with a shrug. "I'm hoping Amber and the mares time it so I can focus z on them one at a time," he added with a chuckle, since the cat would be due at really any time now.

Mari nodded very much in agreement. She had to admit she was excited about the kittens - the little thing wasn't exactly young anymore, and it would be nice to have a little bit of her when she passed away. After all, she was a whole lot of the reason she and Sage got on at all. They hadn't gotten off to the best start, but brining the kitten in had brought them closer, and had helped Sage when he needed it most. "Hopefully. She's due soon, isn't she?" She asked after a moment or two. Of course, it'd be nice for the kids to see too.

Sage grunted with a sort of nod in response to her comments. "Should be due any day now," he noted, admittedly rather excited about it all. The cat was getting on in years by then, and they really weren't sure she could even get pregnant at first. But she had, and he was excited to meet all her kittens. He knew she wasn't going to last forever ....but at least he'd have a part of her even when she had passed on. He liked the idea of caring for her kittens.

Mari smiled lightly in response. Once they'd gotten the cat back from the farm, all she'd done was sleep anywhere warm. The fire, in the sun, she'd even found her way under their bed covers a few times. Bless the animal. Once they were all done, she grabbed their plates to pop away. The kids stood up and ran off to do... whatever they we're gonna do, and she found herself sat happily next to him. "Plans for today?" She asked happily.
