Sage perched on the edge of the bed, chuckling at Liz as she insisted she was, in fact, that cold. "Ah, the joys of youth," he mused. "Always the drama queen," he noted fondly. "Between me and her mother, I should have guessed she'd be that way," he added, quieter so only Elara could hear. He didn't often mention Amy to Liz....he only had bad memories of the woman. Well....after the first few weeks anyway.

Elara laughed lightly, eating a few berries from the basket. "If she grows up to have your humor then i'll be stuck with two of you, plus a insane wolf, which i'm pretty sure i'd lose my mind." The woman mused, walking over to sit beside him and watch the girl.

Sage chuckled softly and shook his head. "Oh, you love me and my humor," he teased Elara with a grin. "I think you'd get along just fine with her if she turns out like that," he added with a snicker. Though, he did hope she'd have no reason to have his darker humor, or use humor as an armour like he sometimes did.

She pressed a quick, teasing kiss to his lips, pulling away and resting her head on his shoulder as she sighed softly. "I sure do, you're right there." Elara murmured, grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around herself.

|
Sage just hummed softly in agreement, kissing her back and then wrapping his arm around her when she leaned in. "I'm certainly not upset by it either," he noted lightly, watching Liz wander around the cabin, playing with imaginary....well, whatever she was imagining, he supposed.

Elara leaned into his touch as he wrapped an arm around her, looking up to find Liz running around with a stick, walking up behind Sage and pointing it at him. "I'm gonna fight you so I can have your kingdom!" She boasted excitedly, grinning.

|
Sage gave a dramatic gasp when Liz pointed the stick at him, moving to grab another one from the firewood pile. "No, my kingdom is mine alone," he noted in what he imagined a evil old king would sound like. "You cannot defeat me," he added, sort of half-heartedly whacking at Liz's stuck until he let her hit him with it and he fell over dramatically. "Oh no, I've been bested," he groaned, though grinning widely.

|
Liz grinned wickedly, dogpiling on him before snatching his stick and breaking it in half before raising it up victorious. "I CONQUERED YOU!" She boomed excitedly, Elara cackling in the back. "Liz you got his kingdom!" The woman cheered, the girl giggling.

Sage was content to just lay on the floor, arms and legs sprawled among the furniture and such. The fire was a warm blaze by then, so it wasn't cold or anything. He just laughed as he watched Liz declare victory, nodding along. "Since you're victorious, I'll give you my queen," he declared dramatically, pointing towards Elara. "You can take her as a hostage," he added with a grin and a wink thrown in Elaras direction as Liz ran towards her.

|
Elara grinned a bit wider when Sage called her his queen, knowing it was fictional yet...somehow feeling it wasn't--though she denied it, knowing she should'nt make assumptions. "Denied, queen's can't do much and are easily replaceable in kingdoms. Take my king instead and you'll get more land," She mused, smirking as she gestured to Sage.
