Remy dropped everything once he'd caught the scent of blood, and swam into town, fast. He saw Ally first, covered in scrapes, many merpeople attacking her. He rushed over to her, defending her as she swam away, leaving town fast. He kept the merpeople away from her as she fled, defending her and himself. Remys head flicked over to Sage and his home, only to find a red tinge floating in the water around it and merpeople barging in. Remy immediately fled to his home, taking out merperson after merperson, defending himself, his home, his boyfriend, his egg.

Sage didn't really know where Remy was, or if he was ok, but as long as he had the egg and it was safe, he figured he'd hold on as long as it took for that to happen. He fought wildly, using every skill he had. He tore through them easily enough, but there were so many and his main focus was keeping the egg safe, so by the time Remy had gotten there he was pretty much just covering the egg with his own body, defending what hits he could but taking plenty more as his strength left with the blood that was turning the water red as it leaked from too many injuries to count, many of them severe. He was on the brink of unconsciousness once all their attackers were gone, breathing heavily as he sagged over the egg, just curling aroud bit thankfully. It was ok. And Remy was here and alright too, and that was all he cared about

Remy fought like hell, slashing and hitting at any merperson he could hit. The merpeople fought back too, leaving with Remy one too many cuts. By the time the attackers had fled, Remy got one glance at Sage and the egg before collapsing, blood just leaking out of him.

Sage felt his breath hitch when he saw Remy go down, sort of reaching towards him, but the best he could do was grab his hand weakly before blackness overtook him. He didn't move from the egg though, and he wouldn't. They'd have to move his body to get to it. And right then, it seemed fairly likely to happen.

Remy remained passed out, just in a never-ending world of black.

Sage stayed passed out too, a few rather ugly looking wounds bleeding pretty heavily as he lay there, not slowing down at all.

As the same with Remy.

Luckily, they'd made a nest for the egg, so despite laying over the nest unconscious, sage wasn't hurting it at all.

Remt remained unconscious.

So did Sage
