Ajax's eyebrows twitched up slightly as he studied Mercy's face for a reaction and saw that her eyes were slightly watery. Being the person he was, he got stuck on that. +LITERALLY, TEARS. AJAX, YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN. Pulled off the greatest emotional stunt in demon history. Pow, beat that, ANYONE!+ he thought victoriously. Then again... demons weren't REALLY known for being emotionally awesome. At her words.. +should've known that was the part she'd get stuck on+ he thought with a small grin. "Yes, I do. Your smile really pulls off the whole package." He added with a slight chuckle at her expression. Just to think if he wouldn't have been, cough, trampled, he would've never died, never met Mercy, never fostered a friendship, never gotten way too emotionally involved, and never would've gotten to know the love of his life. Maybe dying wasn't so bad after all. Sure worked out for him. Even though he still didn't fully understand how Mercy loved him as much as she said she did... he was more than willing to accept the words and reciprocate the kiss. "Not to ruin the moment, but I'm pretty sure Goose is fainting outside and Rooster is strangling him." Ajax said slowly after he had pulled away. He noticed them come, about in the middle of his heartfelt speech, but hadn't bothered doing anything about it.

"Aw, thanks. I think your smile is pretty romantically adorable too." Mercy chuckled, curling her hands gently into his hair. She let him pull away from the kiss quietly, sighing at his words. She leaned on him for a moment and then nodded quietly. "Yeah, that sounds about right. Let's go." She said lightly, taking his hand and walking toward the door.

"Why thanks, but I can't say I agree. However, ask me in 4 hours and I'd probably smile and say I knew that all along." Ajax snorted. He was still anxious of course- how could anyone NOT be- and not in a mood to flatter himself, like usual. Walking towards the door, he opened it to see Rooster pinning Goose against a tree with his hand over Goose's mouth and his eyes narrowed. Goose was half-choking half-laughing and half-screaming, which doesn't even make sense because there are two halves in a whole. 2. Not 3. +++ When Rooster saw Ajax and Mercy he quickly let go of Goose's face and stepped away. "You'll understand in a moment." He said grumpily. +++ Less than a second after he could breathe again Goose let out a string of high pitched yelps. "I CANT BELIEVE YOU GUYS ARE GETTING MARRRRIIIIEEEEDDDD AND THAT YOU INVITED MEEEEE AND also I feel like a 4 year old but I ALMOST died of my own embarrassment when I walked up to your window for absolutely no reason and COULD HEAR WHAT AJAX WAS SAYING AND IT WAS ADORABLE AND thennnn you guys were happppppyyyyy and kissssssed BUT THAT IS NOT WORTH MENTIONING RIGHT NOW" He seemed to be... either drunk or super super high on just energy. +++ Knowing Goose, the man was just energetic. Ajax waited through his small screams yelps and yells, looking at Rooster afterward. "I understand." He commented before turning his gaze,.slowly, to Goose. "Calm down. You're okay." He said quietly. "Mercy, do you want me to get the food, and when are you planning on starting?" Edited at March 16, 2024 07:16 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

"That's okay. I believe it enough for both of us." Mercy smiled, blinking as they emerged outside to... well. You know. She simply blinked for a few moments and watched the two demons tussle in silence until they broke apart. She watched Rooster speak and then took a half step back as Goose exploded with noise, as usual. All she could do was cling to Ajax's hand and marvel at the fact that both Goose used to be a human being, and also that her eardrums hadn't burst yet. As soon as the high pitch began to string into coherent words, she flushed a light shade of baby pink and brushed a lock of blonde hair behind her ear, shrinking into Ajax's side a little in a flustered way. "You watched us kiss? Goose, you're such a peeping-" She got cut off by Ajax and turned to look at him instead. She nodded at his request. "Oh, uh, yeah. That'd be great. I was thinking the ceremony will happen in an hour and a half, the reception whenever that ends? So just have the food ready for the reception by then." She shrugged, blinking up at him. "If that works for you, anyway."

Goose opened and closed his mouth about eighty times before blushing a bright shade of red. "No! Well, kind of- no! I just saw it STARTING to happen and that's when Rooster grabbed me!" He yelped, had face looking like it was on fire. +++ Ajax resisted a small groan, though deciding the best action would be to ignore Goose. "Sorry for him Mercy. I've been trying for years to fix something with his brain." He rolled his eyes before nodding. "Okay. I will get the food then. You're welcome to come with and help if you don't want to be near these buffoons." He snorted slightly, walking towards the cabin to grab their stocked up stores of stuff they had decided on. 1 and a half hours till he would be the happiest man alive- not that he wasn't already.

Mercy let out something like an offended laugh. "So you would've watched if Rooster hadn't stopped you?" She snickered. She wasn't shy of being affectionate with Ajax in front of others by any means, but the idea that Goose was casually staring through the window was a bit alarming. Then again, it was Goose. "Nope. You don't get to see me again until Goose walks me down the aisle and I'm wearing a dress." Mercy said lightly, standing tall to press a kiss against his cheek. "Goose, you get to come with me and sit while I do all the bride stuff. It'll be super fun, you get to watch me do my makeup, and my hair, and everything." She mocked, using a high pitched, girly tone and dragging him by the sleeve into the bedroom so Ajax couldn't see her before she was ready.

Goose spluttered. "No- wait- uh- of course not- I-" He looked perplexed before becoming alarmed as she started talking to him again. "I guess I do deserve a punishment..." He groaned, stumbling along after her and wincing at each word. "Great, maybe I can get some makeup too- if anything could make my stunning looks any better." He grinned, smoothing his Hawaiian shirt. +++ Ajax sighed a little. "Suit yourself." He smiled a little before walking away and starting with his work. He went to grab a table, haul it out, find a light blue tablecloth and spread it out, then get the foot and drink. Everything went into special containers and jugs that Mercy picked, the sky blue color and black mixing rather well. Once everything was set up at the lakeside- almost an hour later- he grabbed his suit from inside, snorting as he heard Goose complaining about something inside the bedroom. Grabbing a couple things, he then went to the bathroom at the other side and shut the door with a click. After some grimacing and fussing he managed to get the suit on. The smooth black suit, however much he didn't (and did) want to admit, looked good. He then took this time to, with only slight regret, brush his hair and smooth it down a little. He then, with much more regret, shaved- although he left the slightest bit of scruff, enough to see, because the mere thought of himself clean shaven was too terrifying to think about. Soon it was time. Ajax knew Mercy wouldn't come out of the bedroom yet, so he left to go to the the makeshift *aisle*

Mercy had been too excited to change into her dress, scurrying into the bathroom with it as soon as Goose was in the bedroom. She admittedly stared at herself in the mirror for a good five minutes; or more. She had never realized that when people said a woman should feel she looks her best on her wedding day, they were telling the truth. Even without her make up or hair done, she felt exactly like a princess. She only made her way out when Goose started whining about the fact that she was taking too long. He was surprisingly sweet about it; he knew not to tread too heavily when she was so excited. She made her way through her makeup easily, a rather natural look that accentuated her slight tan and made her face look flawless. The most noticeably enhanced thing was her eyelashes, lifted gently with a dark black mascara that accentuated the blue of her eyes and the 'girl next door' look she always had. After, she took almost a full forty-five minutes with her hair. Goose changed into his suit during that time, whining about how long the intricate updo took. Her blonde, wavy hair was pulled into an elegant, intricate bun at the back of her head. Two face framing curls whisped at the sides of her face, and she looked utterly overjoyed about it. After, she toed on her white platforms and watched herself in the mirror as she clipped a pale blue, faintly glittering flower to the side of her bun. She sighed and tried to toss her own nervous energy away, glancing at Goose anxiously. "Tell me the truth. Am I repulsive?" She asked anxiously.

Goose lightly complained about random things, including the fact his suit was one solid color and not many colors. He did offer a supporting smile or two, however, and his eyes widened to no abound when he saw Mercy with her stuff.. done. "Wow. Repulsive? Naw, if I'd have seen you like this when we first met I'd have wanted to marry you." He joked with a wink before sobering up. "No, really Mercy, you look incredible. Drop dead gorgeous, although I hope Ajax doesn't drop dead." He said firmly. +++ Ajax fidgeted for about 3 seconds infected he was outside before turning right around to go to the shed, where, for some reason, he had a mirror- mostly for use with cleaning hard parts of tools, but also he had put it in there only a month prior as he had started worrying about the wedding. He stared at himself for a while before breaking. He would hate himself afterward but... he grabbed a can of stuff that he refused to call anything important, then opened it and went to work. 10 minutes later the faded shadows under his eyes were completely gone. He then worked harder on his sad hair, trying not to just growl and rip it out. He was failing at this. Mercy would come out looking great and he looked like a drunk rat. He finally got everything to lay flat, and he made sure his suit was smooth. Great. There wasn't much else he could do. He finally gave up and checked the time. Exactly an hour and a half later. He left the shed, walked out, stationed himself, and (WHOEVER IS PERFORMING THE CEREMONY) prepared. +++ (Do we just skip to (vows?? Lol) and then Grady comes?)

Mercy flushed faintly at the compliment, clasping her hands in front of her quietly. Her dress had a fitted bodice with straight white silk that faded into lace at the top of the cups. The lace formed a v-necked collar and sleeves that trail down to a little past her elbows. It was backless to a bit past the midway point of her back, something she had been heavily debating when picking it out. The skirt of the dress was large and flowy, dotted with lace similiar to that on the top. The veil was of matching lace fabric, clipped into the top of her bun. "Really? Thanks, Goose. It means a lot." She smiled, walking out into the living room to grab her bouquet. It was of white and pastel blue flowers, small and bound with a blue ribbon. She reached out lightly for Goose once it was clasped in her right hand. "Your arm, sir?" She teased.
