Quinn shook her head, amused by just... Sage. She watched the fire for a couple moments, the yellow-red-orange glinting off of her emerald green eyes. She got lost in thought thinking about how well the plant worked, and if Sage really was healed for good. (Yeah I'm out too haha)

Sage settled on finding what constellations he could while the stars slowly came out of hiding in the dimming sky. The meat would have to cook for a while, and he could probably amuse himself until then...watching the starts was always cool.

Quinn tore her gaze off of the flames, bending forward to turn the meat. After that was completed she settled back against the rock again, her eyes drawn to the stars. That's where Sage seemed to be looking, so she was sure it would keep her attention for a while. Quinn named all the stars off she could see, making sure to find the well known constelations and searching the stars with her gaze.

Sage amused himself by making up stories to go with all the constellations until the meat was done cooking. He could smell it was perfect after a while, so he sat up with a bit of a sigh to take it off the socks and split it up between them.

Quinn tilted her head at Sage's sigh, snapping out of her mind wandering. "You good?" She asked, gratefullly taking the small portion of food he offered. Quinn glanced around to make sure the horses were okay before taking a bite, relishing the warm perfectly cooked meat. For some reason Quinn was just humming rock songs quietly, and she didn't really know why.

Sage nodded happily in response to the girls question, giving her a grin when she took the food from him before starting to eat his own portion. It was really good, and he was definitely happy to eat without hurting at the same time. He listened to the girl humming with amusement, finding her humming rather calming as they ate.

Quinn was contented as Sage nodded. She just had to make sure... because if she didn't, she would have worried until she died. That was just how Quinn was. She finished her small piece rather quickly, and felt full yet again. -I really don't eat that much- Quinn thought with amusement, and as her mood changed from hungry to sleepy her humming changed from rock to some soft country songs. -my brain works in mysterious ways- she thought wryly, closing her eyes for a couple moments as she just basked in the fires heat.

Sage ate around half of the deer before deciding to leave some for the next morning. He was full enough anyway...and while his wolf instincts wanted him to eat as much as he could, that had become easy to shake off. He noticed Quinns songs slow down and saw her close her eyes. He felt a small smile grow on his face and flopped down next to her happily. He turned around so his back was pressed against her, since he could still smell her and he really didn't want to get himself too excited while she was trying to get to sleep.

Oh yes, as Quinn is trying to sleep Sage is just getting way too excited XD. I can see Quinn scolding him LOL))

Quinn just kept her eyes closed as the fire crackled. Eh, if she fell asleep it would be good. She noticed Sage flop down next to her, smiling slightly at his carefree stance... which meant that his wound must not hurt much. If at all. Quinn opened her eyes for a moment and nodded at Sahara as a thank you. She knew the mare saw her since Sahara flicked her tail and raised her head beforehand going back to grazing.

Sage was more than content to just lay there next to Quinn. It was nice out, and the fire along with the other various noises that came from the local wildlife were calming. He was certainly having a good time, living out like this. There would probably come a time when they'd need a doctor....like if Quinn got pregnant and had an issue during labor or something. But he shoved the thought out of his mind because a, that would definitely excited him in a way he didn't think Quinn would appreciate if she was trying to rest, and b, he didn't want to think about all the things that could go wrong with pregnancy and labor. That just scared him to think it could happen to Quinn. He did want a kid though....it would be nice to raise a family. And Quinn had agreed to having that sort of...fun...once he was healed, after all.
